摘要: The present invention relates to a skin treatment sheet comprising a substrate with a plurality of apertures wherein the sheet has a first surface and an opposing second surface. The apertures have a first and second inner perimeter and a cutting edge along at least a portion of the first inner perimeter. The skin treatment sheet has a stability ST which is the ratio of the average cross-sectional substrate area Ax and the total aperture area A1. Moreover, the present invention also relates to a skin treatment device comprising this skin treatment sheet.

摘要: A razor blade having a substrate with a cutting edge being defined by a sharpened tip and novel dimensions is provided. The substrate has dimensions of volumes, cross-sectional areas, and thicknesses at or near the ultimate tip (e.g., at a distance up to about 2 micrometers from the sharpened tip). The substrate is coated with one or more materials and has novel volumes, cross-sectional areas, and thicknesses at or near the ultimate tip (e.g., at a distance up to about 2 micrometers from the sharpened tip). The thickness of the substrate at 2 micrometers back from the ultimate tip is at or below about 0.977 micrometers and at or below about 1.173 micrometers for a coated substrate at the same distance. These dimensional values are measured robustly with an atomic force microscope and provide reduced cut forces for improved blade performance.

摘要: Razor having a hair-severing member having a plurality of sawing teeth arranged along a hair-severing edge of the hair-severing member. Each sawing tooth has a tooth tip and tooth edges mutually connected via the tooth tip. The hair-severing member is mounted for sawing through hairs present on the skin by means of the sawing teeth by moving each sawing tooth in a local direction of extension of the hair-severing edge at the position of the respective sawing tooth. A drive is coupled to the hair-severing member for driving the hair-severing member such that the sawing teeth move with an average velocity larger than or equal to 10 m/s. The spacing between the tooth tips of two successive sawing teeth is between 20 μm and 150 μm.

摘要: When two conventional safety razor double-edged blades are superposed on top of each other, there is no space in between them to pass the shaving residues. The presently invented safety razor double-edged blade is equipped with several spaced protuberances on its surface. When two of these present invented blades are overlapped, there is a space between them to pass the shaving residues to be rinsed away by running water. Therefore two, three or more of them can be superposed on a single razor blade holder to allow the user to experience all the benefits of a multi-blade razor cartridge in a safety razor blade system.

摘要: A razor blade having a substrate with a cutting edge being defined by a sharpened tip. The substrate has thicknesses of 1.60-1.75 micrometers and 9.25-10.00 micrometers measured at a distance of four and forty micrometers from the blade tip, respectively. A ratio of the thickness measured at four micrometers to the thickness measured at forty micrometers is between 0.165-0.185. The substrate thickness is about 2.70-3.00 micrometers at eight micrometers from the blade tip, about 4.44-5.00 micrometers at sixteen micrometers from the blade tip with a thickness ratio measured at four micrometers and eight micrometers between 0.56-0.62, and a thickness ratio measured at four micrometers and sixteen micrometers between 0.32-0.40. The blade edge shape is defined by equation w=adn where “a” is between 0.50-0.62 and “n” is between 0.76-0.80. An included angle of less than 7° is measured at a distance of forty micrometers or greater from the blade tip. A nitrided substrate may also be provided.
