摘要: A connector which has an inlet and an outlet, along with an additional by-pass portion. The by-pass portion is moveable between two configurations; a non by-pass configuration and a by-pass configuration, wherein when the by-pass portion is in the non by-pass configuration this allows liquid to pass through the inlet and exit the outlet; and when the by-pass portion is in the by-pass configuration there is a region of the internal surface of the connector which at least partially overlaps the by-pass portion so that liquid entering the inlet can be redirected along the by-pass portion and out the by-pass outlet to effectively prevent liquid from exiting the outlet.

摘要: A collection device for a gutter is provided. The device includes a housing having an upper open end sealably connectable to the gutter about a bottom opening in the gutter and a lower end and a screen extending from the lower end through the housing to the upper end. A first compartment is formed on one side of the screen within the housing to receive water and debris as they enter the bottom opening. A second compartment is formed on another side of the screen to substantially receive only water flowing through the bottom opening and into the first compartment. A down spout outlet is formed on the lower end in the second compartment. A debris outlet formed in the lower end of the first compartment and a trap door is sealably connectable to the lower end to enclose the debris outlet to contain the debris.

摘要: A cleaning system (10) for an eave trough (11) and a downspout (12) includes a conduit assembly (13) extending along a portion of the downspout (12) and along at least a partial length of the eave trough (11), and a strainer assembly (14) interposed with respect to the downspout (12). A plurality of spaced spray nozzles (16) extend from the conduit assembly (13) and spray water toward the junction (17) of the eave trough (11) and downspout (12). A fitting (19) is connected to one end the conduit assembly ( 13 ) and is adapted for interengagement with a hose (20) which provides for a source of water under pressure. The spray of water allows for the flushing or purging of the eave trough (11), directing debris for the eave trough (11) to and through the downspout (12). The strainer assembly (14) includes a T-shaped housing (22) having an open upper end (25), an open lower end (26), and an open extension (27) extending orthogonally between the upper end (25) and the lower end (26), a strainer (23) operatively attached at the upper end (25) within the housing (22) for collecting the debris which passes through the downspout (12), and a stopper disc (24) selectively removable from the lower end (26) of the housing (22) which redirects the flow of water while purging. The strainer (23) and the stopper disc (24) are removable through the open extension (27) of the housing (22).

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for separating leaves, debris, dirt, and sediment from rain water. The apparatus is comprised of a drawer-containing accumulating device insertable in the leader pipe bringing rain water from a roof by way of a gutter. The drawer in the device contains a screen for separating leaves and debris from rain water. The drawer is periodically removed and emptied.

摘要: A rainwater ducting system mounted adjacent the eaves of a building is comprised of a horizontally disposed open gutter containing horizontally directed auger means and a communicating downspout containing vertically directed auger means. The auger means are designed to occlude less than 50% of the cross sectional area of the trough and downspout, and are separately activated by waterproof motors remotely controlled and adapted to provide variable forward and reverse speeds. In operation, the auger means advance solid debris toward and downward through said downspout.
