    Abstract: A frameless glass door clamp has a clamping member, a base cover and a cap cover. The clamp member has a base side surface and a cap side surface. The base cover is mounted on the base side surface and has a panel, multiple flanges, a tapered face and multiple rounded outer edges. The cap cover is mounted on the cap side surface and has a panel, a multiple flanges, a tapered face and multiple rounded outer edges. Because the outer edges of the base and cap covers are rounded, the frameless glass door clamp is much less likely to injure people or damage objects and is easier to manufacture.

    Abstract: An aircraft door includes a seal that integrates a flexible silicone seal portion and a rigid blade seal portion into a single continuous seal around the mold line gap between the door and frame. The arrangement allows for the use of space saving piano hinges to mount the door. The seal includes a rigid blade seal around three edges of the door and a flexible hinge cover seal adjacent to the hinge edge of the door. The flexible hinge cover seal is bonded to terminal blocks which in turn can be mounted to the door edge and to the door frame such that the flexible hinge cover seal covers the mold line gap adjacent to the hinge.

    Abstract: A built-in domestic appliance which comprises hinges for hinging a door to the furniture body of the built-in domestic appliance. The door is used to close an opening of the first furniture body. The hinges are adapted to perform a defined opening and closing movement of the door, a gap forming during this movement between the edge of the door and especially the front of a second furniture body adjoining the furniture body. In order to obviate the risk of injury caused for example by limbs being caught in the gap and any claims for damages resulting therefrom, a plate element in the area of the door and in a transitional area between the furniture body of the built-in domestic appliance and the second furniture body is mounted in such a manner that it covers the gap if possible across its entire length.

    Abstract: A hinge mask for protecting the pin barrel portion of a door hinge during application of a liquid coating to adjacent portions of a door and/or frame to which the door hinge is attached takes the form of a elastic band having at least one open side, and a length in a relaxed state that is shorter than the length of the door hinge to which the band is to be applied. The elastic band has sufficient elasticity to permit lengthwise stretching of the band to a distance sufficient to allow one side of the band to be applied over the pin barrel portion of the door hinge and into contacting relationship with the adjacent door and frame. The elastic band has a sufficient width dimension measured between the two sides so that, when the elastic band is applied over the pin barrel portion of the door hinge, a side that is not in contact with the pin barrel returns to a substantially relaxed state to form an overlapping structure preventing application of the liquid coating to the pin barrel portion of the door hinge.

    Abstract: An upward acting sectional door is has pinch-resistant joints and hinges. The hinges have a top member securable to an upper panel of the door and a base member securable to a lower panel of the door. The base member and top member are connected by first and second links, each of which have a first end pivotally connected to the top member and a second end pivotally connected to the base member. The geometry of the links insures that a foot which depends from the upper panel is always spaced closely enough to the lower panel that a person cannot easily insert a fingertip into the joint. The foot also acts to push a fingertip away from the joint as the door is closed. The hinge may further include a cover which acts to prevent a person from being pinched by the links or hinge members.
