    摘要: An igniter tube for a gas turbine engine combustor has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a longitudinal axis therethrough. More specifically, the igniter tube includes: a first portion positioned within a port of a liner for the combustor, the first portion having an inner surface with an inner diameter and an outer surface with an outer diameter; a second portion located adjacent the first portion, the second portion having an inner surface with an inner diameter and an outer surface with an outer diameter, wherein the second portion outer diameter increases from the first portion outer diameter at a first end to a predetermined outer diameter at a second end; and, a third portion located adjacent the second portion, the third portion having an inner surface with an inner diameter and an outer surface with an outer diameter, wherein the third portion outer diameter is substantially the same as the predetermined outer diameter. Moreover, the second portion inner diameter of the igniter tube is substantially equal to the first portion inner diameter and the third portion inner diameter of the igniter tube is greater than the inner diameter of the second portion.

The burner includes a burner tube having a downstream end and an upstream end for receiving fuel and air, flue gas or mixtures thereof, a fuel orifice located adjacent the upstream end of the burner tube, for introducing fuel into the burner tube, a burner tip mounted on the downstream end of the burner tube and adjacent a first opening in the furnace, the burner tip having a plurality of air flow notches positioned about an outer periphery thereof, a peripheral tile surrounding the outer periphery of the burner tip, forming the first opening in the furnace, and a burner tip seal in contact with at least a portion of the outer periphery of the burner tip and the peripheral tile, wherein a plurality of air gaps is formed between an inner periphery of the burner tip seal and the air flow notches, the plurality of air gaps effective for providing a portion of the air for combustion.

The means for increasing the inspirating effect of uncombusted fuel gas exiting the fuel spud is effective to increase the amount of flue gas drawn from the furnace.

    摘要: A burner assembly having improved BTU output, flame stability and starting reliability is provided. The burner includes a retention plate at an output end of a gas supply line having a central hub from a which a plurality of spokes radially extend. The retention plate and gas supply line are provided within an outer sleeve of the burner. The retention plate occupies a relatively small cross-sectional area of the sleeve. Accordingly, large amounts of combustion air can be forced through the sleeve, with controlling air flow paths being created by apertures provided in each of the spokes. A pilot, including a circumferential spark gap, is provided to improve starting reliability.
