    摘要: A compact thermoelectric safety actuator having a first body with a first cavity and a second body with a second cavity. The first and second bodies are connected so that the first and second cavities are arranged facing and open to one another. The first body has a gas outlet and the second body has a gas inlet in fluid communication with the gas outlet through the second cavity, An electromagnet of the actuator has a first end portion residing in the first cavity and a second end portion residing in the second cavity. A rotatable arm has a first end with a ferromagnetic frame adapted to engage the second portion of the electromagnet and a second end coupled to a sealing member, each of the tilting arm, ferromagnetic frame and sealing member are arranged in the second cavity. The first sealing member is configured to seat against a seating located on the first body when the arm is in a rest position, the first seating being located between the gas outlet and the second cavity.

    摘要: A radiant gas heater includes one or more gas inlets 105, for receiving gas from a gas supply and one or more air inlets 110. The heater includes gas burners 120A-120E, in which the gas is burned using oxygen admitted through the air inlets 110. One or more heat emitting elements 125A-125E are included, which emit infrared radiation using energy generated by the gas burners. One or more ionization probes 130A are provided proximal to two or more of the heat emitting elements for detecting the presence or absence of a flame. A housing 115 accommodates the gas burners, the heat emitting elements and the ionization probes. One or more control units are provided which are in electrical communication with the ionization probes and the gas inlets, the control units operable to shut off the gas supply if the ionization probes detect the absence of a flame.

A distributing element is arranged inside the burner near the diffuser and is provided with further first openings and further second openings for the passage of the mixture. An ionization sensor is arranged near a zone of the surface of the diffuser in a direction substantially parallel to the surface of the diffuser. The first openings are shaped as holes and the second openings are shaped as slits. Two rows of slits are provided in the zone. The rows are separated by a surface portion of the diffuser devoid of openings. The ionization sensor is arranged above the surface portion of the diffuser between the two rows of slits.

A signal processor monitors a signal of the photodetector. The fiber optic element can include at least one optical fiber positioned within a protective tube. The fiber optic element can include two fiber optic elements coupled to the test region. The optical fiber and the protective tube can have lengths sufficient to situate the photodetector outside of an engine compartment. A plurality of fuel nozzles and a plurality of fiber optic elements can be used with the fiber optic elements being coupled to respective fuel nozzles and either to the photodetector or, wherein a plurality of photodetectors are used, to respective ones of the plurality of photodetectors. The signal processor can include a digital signal processor.

    摘要: An automatic flame-out detector and reignition system for a fuel burning apparatus comprises at least one spark generator. The spark generator comprises a spark gap and a transformer. The transformer has a primary winding and a secondary winding. The spark gap is connected across the secondary winding of the transformer. A switch is in electrical communication with the primary winding such that when the switch is in a first state, electrical current may flow through the primary winding and when the switch is in a second state, electrical current may not flow through the primary winding. The system comprises at least one flame detector having an output indicating the presence of a flame. A programmable circuit having an input for receiving the output of the flame detector and an output for triggering the spark generator is provided. A method of ignition is also provided.

    摘要: An integral industrial burner package has been described. The burner housing includes a blower housing integral to the burner housing for housing a blower motor and fan. Burner components are mounted on the blower housing and are cooled by blower inlet air flowing over the components. The blower output air flows through a collection chamber integral to the housing and into an air conduit formed within the burner housing. A fuel conduit is provided within the air conduit and is connected to a nozzle internal to a combustion chamber where the fuel and air is mixed and ignited.
