摘要： An apparatus for measuring, weighing and counting fish comprising a main body portion having long parallel side edges and short parallel upper and lower edges in a rectangular configuration, the main body portion having a front face and a back face and a slot for the receipt of a slidable member therein, the main body portion also having a recess centrally formed in the upper face thereof in a generally inverted V-shaped configuration with a ledge, the apex of the V being adapted to receive the head of a fish to be measured; a generally rectangular slide member positionable within the slot of the main body portion, the slide member being in a generally L-shaped configuration with a long portion slidably positioned within the slot of the main body portion and with a short portion at right angles with respect thereto adjacent the lower edge of the main body portion adapted to receive the tail of the fish to be measured, the slide member having indicia as to a fish length formed adjacent to the front face thereof, the indicia formed in a linear array and with notches formed in the side edges of the slide member; and adjustable coupling members formed adjacent to the lower edge of the main body portion at a side thereof, the coupling members including a hinge member and, on one side thereof, a projection extending through an adjacent wall of the main body portion into a preselected notch in the slide member to lock the slide member with respect to the main body portion, the adjustable members including a spring and recesses to urge the projection into a preselected side notch.

摘要： The present invention comprises a measuring/positioning device. The invention herein is particularly designed for determining the elevation above a reference floor surface of an overhead object, such as pipe, conduit, duct work, structural steel and the like, the elevation of the center line of tubular objects, and the plumb position on the reference floor surface above which the center line of a tubular object lies. The present invention includes a sensing head that is pivotally secured to one end of an elongate measuring rod. The measuring rod has a measuring scale thereon and is slideably and telescopically engaged within a rigid elongate rectangular housing. The housing includes means for releasable securing the measuring rod at various positions there along, and includes read out points positioned thereon. A pair of level indicators are secured to the housing so that the measuring rod and housing can be positioned to extend through a true vertical line. The read out points are positioned along the housing and the measuring scale is arranged so that the readout means, the measuring scale and the sensing head cooperate to provide measurements of the distance relationship between the object and the reference surface when the object is in contact with the sensing head.

摘要： The present invention is in respect of a rule or measuring rod, also referred to occasionally as a measuring stick, and in particular in respect of the type of rule which comprises a number of telescopic components so arranged as to slide in relation to each other. The components may be clamped together in pairs by means of a locking device, and each component is in the form of a rail of U-shaped or essentially U-shaped section. The extremities of the legs of the section are in the form of projections which face each other; the individual components themselves are of identical section, but are of different sizes so that the components are able to slide inside each other.

摘要： To draw lines in a direction leading to a point it is necessary to locate the ruling edge of a common ruler or straight-edge on the fixed point each time such a thin line is drawn, and in the case of thick lines care has to be taken to put the ruling edge away from the fixed point by a distance equal to one-half the thickness of the line to be drawn.When the fixed point is a comparatively long distance away necessitating the manipulation of a long and hence cumbersome straight-edge, the process becomes tedious and laborious and tends to lack in accuracy.The invented ruler with its telescopic and rotating action combined with its aligning device is intended to facilitate the accurate and quick drawing of such lines.

摘要： A straight edge level is provided which is comprised of a level body having a plurality of conventional leveling bubbles thereon, and a sliding scale member which is extendable from but substantially planar the level body itself. In the preferred embodiment, a scale is provided on the surface of the level body, and a second scale provided on the surface of the slide member. In operation, an extension of the slide member will produce a scale reading at the end portion of the level body from which the slide member extends. The scale provided on the level body begins its numerical climb from that same location on the level body. Thus, in operation, the user can add the numbers appearing on the two scales and get a desired overall measurement.
