摘要： A lamp has multiple arms and multiple hinges mounted between two adjacent arms. The hinge has a stationary leaf, multiple pivot assemblies being mounted in the stationary leaf and multiple brackets being respectively connected to the pivot assemblies and two corresponding brackets are attached to each arm. Each pivot assembly has a shaft and a locking nut being mounted on the shaft and selectively engaging a locking hole of each bracket. Since the locking nuts selectively engage the locking holes of the brackets, an angle between the adjacent arms can be adjusted and fixed. Further, two adjacent arms do not influence each other's position, which is convenient for adjusting.

The upper element of the articulation hinge can be separated from the guide means beyond a critical swing angle, so that the upper element is separated from the lower element of the articulation hinge. The invention also concerns an ejectable hatch for an aircraft.

摘要： A portable information handling system such as a laptop computer includes a chassis having a pivotally mounted top. The chassis includes a keyboard and the top includes a display panel. The top and chassis are connected by a hinge. A hinge cap is releasably attached directly to the hinge and the hinge is mounted on the chassis. A loose fit of the hinge cap on the hinge permits the hinge cap to float relative to the hinge. Each of the hinge cap and a chassis cover plate include a mating, tapered surface so that when the hinge cap seats in the cover plate, the location of the hinge cap relative to the chassis cover plate is determined by the mating engagement.

摘要： A hinge and an associated method of use are provided that enable one person to hinge a pivotable member, such as a cabinet door, relative to an aperture in stationary structure, such as a cabinet, or vice versa. The hinge has first and second hinge leaves, and the first hinge leaf is provided with a hanger receiving aperture. After the second hinge leaf is mounted to the pivotable member by screws or the like, the aperture in the first hinge leaf is hung temporarily over a hanger that is preliminarily positioned and mounted in the stationary structure and the first hinge leaf is mounted to the stationary member. The hanger can be a headed protruding screw. After the mounting, the hanger may be removed. Preferably the hinge has hinge leaves each comprised of cooperating, progressive step segments that each terminate in mutually interdigitating, pintle associating knuckle members, and preferably a medial segment of one hinge leaf is nestably received in one segment of the other hinge leaf, thereby providing the hinge with a compact configuration when folded (closed). The segmented leaves enable the hinge to extend over edge portions of a door and adjacent cabinet aperture.
