Abstract: A floating pond fertilizer device is provided. The device includes a tray for holding fertilizer at the surface of a body of water to be fertilized. The tray has small holes in the bottom of the tray through which fertilizer is released and is secured to a float to support the tray on the surface of the water. The device has opposing mixing arms positioned inside the tray for mixing the fertilizer. The mixing arms are attached to a support arm that can freely rotate within an opening in the center of the bottom of the tray. Rotation of the support arm is facilitated by natural wind and wave action, and thus the device does not require the use of motorized or automated components for mixing or dispensing the fertilizer.

Abstract: A product distribution control system for an agricultural system includes a controller having a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to receive a first signal indicative of a prescription map. The controller is further configured to determine a first parameter associated with operation of an air cart of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map. The controller is further configured to determine at least one of a second parameter associated with operation of a work vehicle of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map, and a third parameter associated with an implement of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map, wherein the implement includes one or more row units. The controller is further configured to output, in response to determining the first parameter, a second signal indicative of an instruction to control a first element of the air cart based at least in part on the first parameter, output, in response to determining the second parameter, a third signal indicative of an instruction to control a second element of the work vehicle based at least in part on the second parameter, and output, in response to determining the third parameter, a fourth signal indicative of an instruction to control a third element of the implement based at least in part on the third parameter.

Abstract: A purging system for a multiple variety seed meter of a multi-variety planter includes seed return valves that may be arranged for receiving seed that was removed from the seed meter. The seed return valves return the removed seed into corresponding appropriate seed storage compartments to allow a new seed variety to be delivered to the seed meter while reducing seed variety mixing in the seed meter. A pipe with a purge passage may extend from the seed meter to a purging hose that delivers the removed seed to the seed return valve(s). Each seed return valve may be a vacuum-actuated piston airlock valve assembly with a valve plunger that reciprocates to define seed collecting and releasing states of the valve.

Abstract: A seed metering system includes a volumetric meter and a plurality of row units. Each and every one of the plurality of row units includes a singulating meter, a bypass conduit, and an outlet that is common to and downstream of the singulating meter and the bypass conduit. The seed metering system further includes a dispersion unit including an inlet and a plurality of outlets and operable to disperse the plurality of seeds from the volumetric meter to the plurality of row units. The seed metering system is operable in a first mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each singulating meter via the dispersion unit to singulate the plurality of seeds. The seed metering system is operable in a second mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each bypass conduit via the dispersion unit such that the plurality of seeds are not singulated.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product mechanical and/or pneumatic conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes a static distributor interconnecting the supply lines of the conveying system with the distribution lines connected to the individual nozzles. The static distributor includes internal structures that effectively divert the incoming particulate material evenly across the interior of the static distributor such that the particulate material is evenly distributed into each of the distribution lines. The static distributor accomplishes this without the need for any moving parts or control systems/devices. In addition, damage done to the particulate material flowing through the distributor is not high, and the operation of the distributor creates a lower pressure drop across the distributor than prior art vertical distributors.
