    摘要: A powder dispenser comprising a powder container having an opening in a lower end thereof, a powder receptacle having a flange, and a flow control assembly having pivotable flow control arms biased against each other, pivotable activation arms biased towards each other, and connecting members for connecting the flow control arms to the activation arms for concomitant movement, wherein the receptacle flange is operable to engage the activation arms to pivot the activation arms away from each other and thereby pivot the flow control arms away from each other so that powder is allowed to flow through the flow control assembly into the receptacle. The dispenser may further comprise an agitator that is operable to agitate the powder in the container when the flow control arms are pivoting towards or away from each other.

    摘要: A weigher for a packaging machine has buckets that deliver product batches. Each bucket includes a pair of spaced side walls between which a bottom extends, and over which the product passes. A bottom wall has at least one trough to control the trajectory of the product leaving the bucket to minimize angular velocity of the product about the vertical axis of a chute. The chute has a substantially vertical axis and receives the batches of product from the weighing buckets. The chute has a side wall converging downwardly from an upper opening to a lower opening, and an internal surface over which the product passes.

    摘要: The sandbag filling stand is provided with a removable top section with at least one opening. This top section rests on side supports, typically, one at each end of the top section. A pivoting sandbag tray is under the top section and pivotally engages each side support. A rotating arm also pivotally engages each side support. With the rotating arm aligned in the vertical plane (up position), the sand tray is held roughly parallel to the ground on which the two side supports rest. When the rotating arm is pushed toward the sand tray pivot points, the sand tray will tilt. With the sand tray tilted at an angle any sandbag resting on the sand tray will tend to slide toward the low side of the tray for easy removal.

    摘要: An insert is bolted to the inlet of a wood chip digester to provide air exhaust during chip loading, and over pressure relief during chip processing. The insert has an upper flange which connects to an overhead chip valve, and a lower flange which mates with the top of the digester inlet. The insert has an outer cylindrical section extending between the upper flange and the lower flange and a lower conical section which extends downwardly into the digester. An inner cylindrical sleeve is positioned coaxially with, and joined to, the outer wall by a conical ring at the top, and is joined to the conical section at the bottom. The outer wall, the conical section, and the inner cylindrical sleeve form a sealed volume, which maybe partitioned into two parts. The first part has a sector between the outer wall and the inner cylindrical sleeve which is connected to a pressure relief fitting, a portion of the sector being porous for allowing pressure relief through the fitting. The second part has a sector between the outer wall and the inner cylindrical sleeve and the entire volume between the cylindrical sleeve and the lower conical section. The second volume is connected to an air evacuation fitting. A portion of the lower conical section which extends around the conical section is formed with approximately thirty to forty percent open area formed by a multiplicity of drilled holes.

The upper fill hopper bridge plate (34) includes an intermediate bridge (48) that closes the hopper extension (28) when the fill hopper assembly is in transition to place one of its fill openings (36 or 38) beneath the feed hopper extension (28). The fill hopper bridge (48) closes the fill hopper extension until one of the fill openings (36 or 38) is in registration with the extension (28). Likewise, the discharge bridge plate (32) includes a bridge (76) that closes the bottom openings of the open-ended fill hoppers (50 and 52) when the fill hoppers are centered and as they approach their laterally displaced discharge openings (72 or 74).
