    摘要: The first structural aspect for mounting a telescopic antenna for an automobile includes a nut surrounding the top end portion of a spacer pipe and engaging with a threaded portion cut on the outside of the top end portion of a base pipe; a flange and a collar provided on a conducting pipe and the spacer pipe respectively and clamped between a contact portion provided on the nut and the top rim of the base pipe; and a flat ring positioned between the flange and the collar. The second structural aspect for mounting a telescopic antenna for an automobile includes resilient protrusions defined on the spacer pipe; holes defined on the conducting pipe, for engaging with the resilient protrusions when the spacer pipe is inserted in the conducting pipe so that the spacer pipe can be kept in position; and a portion around the resilient protrusions having an inside diameter greater than that of the spacer pipe. Both aspects help secure easy sliding of the antenna rods.

    摘要: An auto-extending antenna for a portable radio having a housing which can be closed is inserted into an aperture within the housing. As the housing of a radio using the auto-extending antenna is opened, a toothed wheel attached to the opening portion of the housing is rotated. This toothed wheel is coupled to a second toothed wheel and causes the second toothed wheel to rotate. The second toothed wheel is connected to a first hollow tube which has two opposing slots extending along almost the entire length of the tube. An antenna is inserted into the hollow portion of the first tube, and two opposing nobs attached to the bottom of the antenna protrude through the opposing slots. A second hollow tube fits over the first hollow tube. The inner walls of the second hollow tube have two opposing screw paths winding up its entire length. The nobs extend into the screw paths. The second tube is secured to the housing of the radio. A rotation in the wheel causes the first tube, and therefore the antenna, to rotate within the second tube. As the first hollow tube rotates, the two nobs in the screw paths force the antenna up or down, depending on the direction of the rotation.

    摘要: An antenna element including a loading coil is telescopically extendable and retractable from within a housing tube. A characteristic impedance of a transmission line from a lower end part of the antenna element to a cable is equal to one of a cable. A part of the loading coil is reinforced. A branching filter, which is operatively connected between the antenna and a communication device using a different frequency band, suppresses a mutual interference between signals for the communication device. An antenna circuit, which is operatively connected between the antenna or a branching filter and the communication device, converts an impedance of a lower part in a frequency band, and reduces a loss due to a capacitive antenna impedance.

    摘要: A telescopic beam has a cross-section comprising an array of members (11-17) whose cross-section are of essentially spiral or modified spiral form such that members have lengths of identical (or broadly identical) cross-section (in profile and dimension) and constant (or broadly constant) cross-section along their axis. In the array the members are rotationally offset relative to one another about an axis (A) of the beam parallel to their own axis. In addition the members in the array engage one another such that relative linear movement between two adjacent members is constrained to be possible only in the direction of their axis. The array is assembled to produce the telescopic beam. The maximum number of members in any beam is dependent on the magnitude of the rotational offset incorporated in the particular section used. Any amount of rotational offset can be selected and so can any number of sections from a minimum of two to a maximum restricted only by the practical limits of the production process and the material chosen.

    摘要: A clutch system for a motor driven telescopic antenna, a first rotor provided on a main shaft for moving an antenna drive cord of a telescopically adjustable antenna, a second rotor fitted over the main shaft and rotated by an electric motor, first and second clutch discs which are inserted over the main shaft and kept pressed in the shaft direction by a clamp in order to press hold both end surfaces of the second rotor in between by applying a pressurizing force to the second rotor. The clutch system further includes a clutch pressure setter for dissociating the first and second clutch discs from the second rotor when the force exceeding a specified clutch pressure that is set in relation to the engagement with the main shaft acts on the holding surfaces between the second rotor and the first and second clutch discs. The clutch pressure setter includes first uneven portions formed on both end surfaces, in the shaft direction, of a ring-form member that is coaxially inserted over the main shaft and on the center side of the second rotor and second uneven portions formed in the first and second clutch discs corresponding to the first uneven portions of the ring-form member.

    摘要: A mobile communications antenna assembly for use over a selected band of frequencies in the VHF an UHF ranges, has, a radiating element with first, second and third, collinear radiating sections. The first and second sections each have an electrical length substantially equal to five-eights wavelength over the selected band, while the third section has an electrical length substantially equal to one-quarter wavelength. Phase inductor elements connect the sections for maintaining a predetermined phase relationship between electrical signals radiating from the sections. The third section further has a radiating surface area that is substantially greater than the radiating surface areas of the first and second sections. The base end of the third section is mounted to be elevated above the surface. The transmission line is connected to impedance matching means at a point where impedance of the two is substantially equal.
