Abstract: The present disclosure relates an oral pouched nicotine product comprising a filling material and a saliva-permeable pouch of a packaging material enclosing the filling material, said filling material comprising: —particles having a sphericity from 0.7 to 1.0, such as from 0.8 to 1.0, and a diameter from 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm, said particles comprising: (i) a core having an outer surface, said core comprising a material selected from the group consisting of cellulose, starch, polyalcohol, sugar and any combinations thereof, (ii) a first coating comprising a saliva-soluble binder and a nicotine source, said first coating being applied on at least part of the outer surface of said core, wherein said particles are provided in an amount within the range of from 50 wt % to 100 wt %, such as from 50 wt % to 90 wt %, based on the total weight of said filling material, and—optionally a tobacco material within the range of from 0.05 wt % to 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the filling material. The present disclosure also relates to a method for preparing an oral pouched nicotine product comprising the aforementioned filling material.

Abstract: Articles of manufacture, products, and packaging methods are provided that include collapsible container. Collapsible containers provided herein can define an open interior space with a peripheral side wall having a top edge and a bottom edge and a bottom wall attached to the bottom edge of the side wall. The bottom wall can include a displaceable portion in an expanded configuration that extends below the bottom edge of the side wall and adapted to being displaced to a collapsed configuration that extends above the bottom edge of the side wall. Product constituents (e.g., pouches of smokeless tobacco) can be placed in a collapsible container provided herein while the collapsible container is in its expanded configuration. After installing a lid onto a collapsible container to enclose the product within the collapsible container, the container can be collapsed to its collapsed configuration.

Abstract: A container includes a front wall, a back wall, first and second opposing sidewalls, a foldable top, and a bottom. An interior for storing consumer goods is defined between the front wall, the back wall, the first and second side walls, the top and the bottom. Each side wall has three or more fold lines, which form two or more indents extending along the side wall from the bottom to the top. The fold lines of the first side wall are aligned with the fold lines of the second side wall. The container is expandable and collapsible such that the distance between the front wall and the back wall increases as the container is expanded and decreases as the container is collapsed. The top forms a fin when the top is unfolded.

A method of preparing a fiber-wrapped smokeless tobacco product includes melt-blowing or centrifugal force spinning a plurality of polymeric fibers to create an polymer deposition zone and passing a body comprising smokeless tobacco through the polymer deposition zone. In some cases, an electrostatic charge can be applied to the plurality of polymeric fibers, the body, or a combination thereof. In some cases, a spin is applied to the body when passing through the polymer deposition zone.

Abstract: A packaged tobacco product includes a pouch and tobacco material disposed in the pouch. The pouch has a front wall and a back wall connected to one another along opposing first and second side edges. The pouch is configured to be opened along a top portion of the pouch to form an opening to provide access to the tobacco material in the pouch. The pouch includes a closure assembly having first and second releasably attachable parts. The first part is on the front wall of the pouch. The second part is on either the front wall or the back wall of the pouch. The second part is closer to the opening than the first part. When the first and second parts are attached, a portion of the back wall wraps around at least a portion of the second part of the closure assembly to seal the pouch.

Abstract: A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and structural fibers. The structural fibers forming a network in which the smokeless tobacco is entangled. The structural fibers have a composition different from the smokeless tobacco. The tobacco-entangled fabric can have an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent. In some embodiments, the structural fibers form a nonwoven network. In some embodiments, fibrous structures of the smokeless tobacco are entangled with the structural fibers.
