摘要： There is disclosed a steel tube prop for ceiling formwork with two telescopically interengaging tubes of which the outer one has a screw thread on its interengaging end and in the region of the thread contains an elongated hole passing through it radially and extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the support, through which hole can be inserted a pin which also passes through a hole in the inner tube, the pin being capable of being supported on a threaded sleeve which is screwed onto the thread of the outer tube. The pin has two engaging surfaces for the inner tube at different radial distances from its axis or in different planes and spaced apart by an amount determined by the diameter of the inner tube so that the inner tube can be lowered from a normal operative position into another position in a simple manner, for example, by a hammer blow on the pin.

A preferred connector includes a base plate adapted to be connected to the wall panel, and a pair of swivel means mounted on one side of the base plate and each forming part of one of the latter two knee brace assemblies.

摘要： An extendable and collapsible telescoping strut construction comprising inner and outer tubular members adapted to be slidably received in one another. The inner member is provided with rolled-in portions constituting annular locking grooves, respectively. The outer member has radially extending slots to receive locking dogs which are advanceable toward the inner member so as to engage various annular grooves thereof one at a time and thus hold the inner member in predetermined, fixed positions with respect to the outer member. The latter further carries a spring-biased, slidable collar member which retains the locking dogs in positions of engagement with any one of the annular grooves. Positive, cooperable locking means on the collar member and on the outer tubular member are provided for retaining these two parts in a predetermined, fixed position against accidental bumping or jarring, whereby the locking dogs are firmly held in their advanced, locked positions. The arrangement is such that the spring automatically advances the collar member to its locked position with respect to the outer tubular member as soon as the collar member is released.

摘要： A jack post constructed from component parts which can be readily disassembled to be adjustable to accommodate different floor heights in a construction site comprises a tubular base section, a nut, mounting means for mounting the nut on the base section with its threaded passage aligned with the longitudinal axis at the base section, a threaded stem threadedly engaging the threaded opening in the nut, a rigid shank projecting upwardly from the nut, a tubular guide section supported by the nut and adapted to contain and guide the shank in aligned driving engagement with the threaded stem whereby rotation of the nut with respect to the threaded stem causes longitudinal movement of the shank with respect to the tubular base to extend or contract the jack post as required. The rigid shank is removable so as to be replaced by rigid shanks of various lengths as required to adjust the overall length of the jack post for different applications.

摘要： A support assembly for a C-beam having a top flange and a bottom flange integrated by a beam web is disclosed. The support assembly has a saddle having a saddle web in engagement with the beam web along a portion of the beam web and a saddle flange supporting the bottom flange. Retaining means connect the bottom flange to the saddle flange. A vertical support member is disposed adjacent the saddle flange and has a free end. Elevating means are on a foundation and are engageable with the free end of the support member to reciprocate the saddle and the C-beam with respect to the foundation. A V-shaped support member has a first support leg and a second support leg terminating in a vee. The vee is affixed to the vertical support member adjacent its free end. The first support leg and the second support leg are connected at first connections to the saddle web adjacent the top of the saddle web to obtain maximum projected bearing area along the saddle flange for the bottom flange, and such legs pass through the shear center of the C-beam to minimize torsion in the C-beam. Further, the first support leg and the second support leg project beyond the saddle web and are connected at second connections to the beam web adjacent the top flange to strengthen the beam web against collapse of the beam web under lateral load.
