    Abstract: End fittings may be designed so that they connect to each other in more than two configurations. A first end fitting may be connected to an adjoining end fitting, removed, rotated ninety degrees and reconnected with the adjoining end fitting without jeopardizing stability of the position of each end fitting relative to the other. The first end fitting may be connected to the adjoining end fitting, removed, rotated an additional ninety degrees and reconnected with the adjoining end fitting without jeopardizing stability of the position of each end fitting relative to the other.     Abstract: A universal prop system for grid shoring provides increased versatility and cost effectiveness over conventional grid shoring systems for building construction, such as concrete parking garage construction. The universal props include a variety of interchangeable prop stands, interchangeable drop heads, and interchangeable stringer jacks with a variety of different types of stringer heads. The interchangeable drop heads interconnects the interchangeable stringer jacks with the interchangeable prop stands. The interchangeable drop heads are designed to support a variety of different types of rails, such as beams, joists, rafters, pipes, etc. The interchangeable stringer jacks include a number of different stringer heads configured to support a variety of different stringers.     Abstract: A support head mountable on a support post for supporting a beam in a formwork system is provided. The support head includes a top member for contacting and supporting the beam, a base member mountable on top of the support post, and a pin. Each of the top and base members has a tube with opposing pin holes. The tubes are configured to form vertically extending telescopic tubes, with the pin holes aligned along a horizontal axis. The pin is insertable into the pin holes, and has spaced apart depressions thereon. The pin is slidably moveable in the pin holes from a first position to a second position. In the first position, the depressions are offset from the pin holes. In the second position the depressions are aligned with the respective pin holes thus lowering the first tube and the top member in height.

    Abstract: A formwork system includes a height-adjustable support for supporting a beam in substantially horizontal or slightly inclined position that includes a support with a central upstanding member and a support arm. The support arm has a rounded socket, and the beam has a cylindrical mounting pin proximate its end. The socket and mounting pin are shaped and sized so that the mounting pin is retained within the socket and they together form a hinge joint. As the mounting pin is retained by the socket of the support arm, it does not shift laterally relative to the support arm as the support arm is vertically adjusted. The variance in the gap between laterally secured forming panels as a response to vertical shift of the support is dependent on the incline angle of the beam and the dimensions of the beam and the support arm. This is predictable within a defined tolerance.
