    摘要: A relay device employs a control system which notifies control data indicating its own specification to transmitting equipment to receive data in a form matching to its own specification and acquires control data D13 from receiving equipment employing the control system and connected to a latter stage. The relay device determines whether its own specification is in a higher order or not in comparison a specification indicated by the control data D13 with its own specification, and if it is determined that its own specification is in the higher order, rewrites the control data D13 from the receiving equipment by its own control data D12 to notify it to the transmitting equipment. Thereby, the relay device can reproduce the data from the transmitting equipment in accordance with its own specification. At this time, since the relay device converts the received data from the transmitting equipment to transmit it, even the receiving equipment can reproduce it in accordance with an appropriate specification.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for matching the rate of presentation of digital video data at a receiver/client with the rate the server is serving the data without the need of a voltage control oscillator or other hardware. An embodiment of the invention compares the presentation time at the receiver with the server elapsed time estimated from timestamp values on the served data. When the presentation time and the server elapsed time differ by an unacceptably large amount, an adjustment is made to the audio data stream to re-synchronize the presentation time with the elapsed time, which effectively also synchronizes the overall presentation rate with the overall server rate. The video data stream is then synchronized to the adjusted audio stream. The video data stream and audio data stream are converted to analog signals for presentation.

Additional methods for providing channel availability information to a user based on the unique identifier are described.

    摘要: A video apparatus for processing an input video signal in synchronization with an external reference signal is provided. The video apparatus includes a phase compensation FIFO memory and a measuring device. The phase compensation FIFO memory is configured such that the input video signal is written in synchronization with a clock demodulated from the input video signal and the video signal is read in synchronization with an internal reference clock of the apparatus generated from the external reference signal. The measuring device is configured to measure an amount of jitter/wander of the input video signal based on a calculation of a difference between data volume of the video signal obtained in the FIFO memory and a predetermined reference volume.
