摘要: A method of playing back audio/video signals by means of an audio/video system includes a decoder appliance connected to a display screen and to a wireless speaker including a buffer storing audio frames so as to allow latency between receiving encoded audio frames and supplying decoded audio frames. The method comprises the steps of: determining a filling level of the buffer; comparing the filling level of the buffer with a filling target for the buffer and deducing a filling difference therefrom; and increasing or decreasing the number of audio frames that are stored as a function of the filling difference so as to adjust latency.

摘要: Initiating synchronized playback within a user interface by requesting a plurality of media data and processing the plurality of data so that the plurality of data is compatible with the user interface. The method may continue by generating a metadata object to facilitate sync playback on the user interface by determining what data is in the source buffer of the user interface that needs to be removed and searching for data using a first time format that is not natively supported by the user interface and converting the first time format into a second time format that is natively supported by the user interface. The method also includes synchronizing between videos using a sync playback controller from the generated metadata object, wherein each video is represented as a sequence in the source buffer of the user interface.

摘要: The present disclosure includes techniques for providing timing for outputting audio from two or more devices. An example method includes determining, at a first device, timing for outputting audio from a second device and a third device in an attempt to have the audio from the second and third devices play in a synchronized manner. The example method further includes communicating from the first device to the second device, using a first wireless communication technology (e.g., Wi-Fi), the timing for outputting the audio. The example method further includes communicating from the first device to the third device, using a second wireless communication technology (e.g., Bluetooth) that is different from the first wireless communication technology, the timing for outputting the audio.

摘要: Systems and methods for synchronizing the playback of OTT or other time sensitive content on multiple playback devices is disclosed. The systems and methods include receiving time information based on a network time source in the playback devices. The playback clock in each playback device is set based upon the time information. Stream initiation information derived using the time information from the network time source is received by each of the playback device from the media provider. The playback devices use the stream initiation information to adjust the presentation time stamps of the frames of the media content in the stream.

摘要: A first example playback device includes one or more processors and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first playback device to perform functions. The functions include generating a mixed audio signal comprising one or more components of a first audio stream and one or more components of a second audio stream; and playing the mixed audio signal, where the one or more components of the second audio stream of the mixed audio signal played by the first playback device are played in synchrony with a second playback device configured to play the second audio stream. An example non-transitory computer-readable medium and an example method, both related to the first example playback device, are also disclosed herein.

A first playback device then generates presentation time information including a start time for playback and broadcast the presentation time information to the other playback device over the defined network. The playback devices use the presentation time information to adjust the presentation time stamps of the frames of the media content in the stream.
