Abstract: An improved modularization of an airbag cushion covered with a cover member and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. A first press is performed on the first portion of the cover member in a state where the folded airbag cushion is not covered with the cover member. The first portion has at least a portion that includes a position corresponding to an inflator within the folded airbag cushion. Next, the folded airbag cushion is covered with the cover member, and in the covered state, a second press is applied to at least a part of the second portion of the cover member excluding the first portion.

Abstract: An airbag having an outer skin having an inner side and an outer side is described. The outer skin has an inflator attachment region in which an opening structure for an inflator is provided. The airbag is a part of an airbag assembly further having a flange and an inflator extending through the opening structure and being attached to the flange. In order to provide the possibility of an easy and automatable mounting process, the opening structure having at least two basically radially extending cut-outs, so that the attachment region has at least two flap sections being separated by the cut-outs. These flap sections can be pulled apart during the mounting process, such that the inflator can be attached to the flange.

Abstract: An airbag cushion including a cushion rear portion on the inner side of a frame side plate part, a cushion folded portion folded to the outer side of the frame side plate part, and a cushion front portion on the outer side of the frame side plate part. Abstract: A driver seat airbag device, provided with a steering wheel and an airbag module. [Resolution Means] A typical configuration of an airbag apparatus 100 according to the present invention includes: an inflator 118 which is installed in a vehicle so as to be capable of supplying gas; an inner bag 112 which is expanded from in front of a seat utilizing the gas; and an outer bag 110 to which the gas is supplied from the inflator 118 or via the inner bag 112 and expanded so as to surround the inner bag 112. The outer bag 110 includes an opening 116 which exposes the inner bag 112 towards the seat 104, wherein the inner bag 112 has a more elongated shape in the anteroposterior direction of the vehicle than in the width direction of the vehicle, and the inner bag 112 further includes a restraining part 114 which is exposed on the recessed surface from the opening 116 to the seat side.
