摘要： An electrical connector which is particularly useful in conjunction with printed circuit boards is presented. The connector is easy to assemble and therefore entails relatively low manufacturing costs. The connector of this invention is also easy to operate, permits a multiplicity of wiring changes over the product life and takes up very little area on the printed circuit board. In accordance with the present invention, the electrical connector is comprised of three main insulative component parts including a housing, a cover received in the housing and a screw mechanism which is captured in the cover and which functions to raise and lower the cover within the housing. The connector of this invention additionally includes a plurality of electrically conductive insulation displacement (IDC) type terminals which are received through the housing and which cooperate with appropriate openings in the cover. Thus, when an individual wire lead is inserted into one of the openings in the cover, the screw mechanism is actuated forcing the cover downwardly against a terminal whereupon an individual wire lead is terminated in a known manner.

摘要： The patch connector comprises separable upper and lower housing portions and a double detent structure for joining the two oppositely disposed housing portions. The housing portions are snapped together to define a housing having exposed contacts on a front face thereof for accessing terminals from a terminal block; and at least one opening on the back face thereof for entry and exit of a cable or individual wires. The interior of the housing is provided with structure for retaining isolated electrical connector clips. Among other applications, the patch connector may be used as a means to electrically connect multiple insulated wires on terminals of a terminal block.

摘要： An 8 wire modular plug ended test adapter capable of insertion into any 6 or 8 wire modular jack is presented. The modular adapter comprises 8 conductive contacts encased in a plastic housing, and respectively attached to 8 wires preferably leading from a modular plug, the contacts being sufficiently wide to accommodate alligator chips or the like. Pair number of contacts are clearly molded onto the housing to facilitate use. The modular adapter provides access to a 6 or 8 wire jack for telephone butt sets, test equipment, etc.

摘要： A connector block including wire-formed multiple solderless connectors having an improved wire wrap pin assembly is presented. The block has retainer and body sections with slots and bridge elements to house and define rows and columns of the connectors. The block is further provided with improved wire wrap pins which project from one side of the block and which are in mechanical and electrical contact with the wire-formed solderless connectors. In a preferred embodiment, the wire wrap pins have a two-pronged fork mounted on a rod-like base portion.

摘要： A modular connecting block comprising a block of insulating material having a plurality of apertures therein, each aperture having inserted therein a plurality of flat elongated conductive elements, the elements including at least one pair of opposing contact fingers which protrude upwardly from and are integral with a base portion of the elements, the contact fingers extending through said apertures to allow for connection of wires to the elements, the elements including a tang which is integral with and extends from the base of the element. The modular connecting block may be prewired and includes a plurality of conductive circuits which connect the tangs to various contact points which are positioned external to the block. In another embodiment of the invention the block comprises a parallelepiped having a projecting edge along the bottom of one longitudinal side thereof. The projecting edge is interrupted at a predetermined distance from one end thereof by a recess and at the same distance from the other end by a securing protrusion. The width of the recess is at least as great as the width of the securing protrusion so that when such two blocks are placed with their projecting edges in face to face contact, the protrusion of one will mate with the recess of the other.
