Abstract: Apparatuses for supporting an aircraft component adjacent to an aircraft and methods for the same are provided. In one example, the apparatus includes an adapter for removably coupling to the aircraft component. A winch subassembly includes an axle that is coupled to the adapter and has a longitudinal axis. A first gear is operatively coupled to the axle to drive the axle to rotate about the longitudinal axis for rotating the adapter. The winch subassembly is configured to couple to a lift to position the adapter adjacent to the aircraft.

Abstract: Air stair support systems, stair support cable assemblies, and hooks are disclosed herein. A stair support system includes, but is not limited to, an aircraft fuselage, a door seal, a stair door, and a stair support cable assembly. The aircraft fuselage defines a door frame and a stair hook receptacle. The stair door has a retracted position within the door frame and an extended position that forms an entry/exit stairway. The stair support cable assembly includes a cable and two hooks. The first hook includes a curved end portion configured to hook onto the stair hook receptacle, a cable end portion secured to the cable, and an intermediate portion having first and second intermediate legs that extend the intermediate portion away from the door seal when installed on the door frame and the stair door. The second hook is configured to hook on the stair door.

Abstract: A system and a method for drone detection and collision avoidance, particularly for use in an aircraft, is provided. The system includes, but is not limited to a sensor, a processor, and an avoidance unit comprising a control unit. The sensor is configured to detect a drone signal in a predetermined space and to transmit the drone signal to the processor. The processor is configured to determine the presence of a drone in the predetermined space based on the drone signal. The processor is configured to transmit a command to the avoidance unit when the processor determines the presence of a drone. The control unit is configured to receive the command and to generate a warning signal in response to receiving the command.

Abstract: Fuselage assemblies, over-frame blanket assemblies, and methods of installing over-frame blanket assemblies are provided. A fuselage assembly for an aircraft includes a fuselage skin, a cabin liner, and an over-frame blanket assembly. The cabin liner has an outer side facing the fuselage skin. The over-frame blanket assembly is disposed between the fuselage skin and the cabin liner and has a first blanket piece. The first blanket piece includes a first sound barrier layer that defines a first outer surface of the over-frame blanket assembly and a first sound absorbing layer that defines a second outer surface of the over-frame blanket assembly facing the fuselage skin. A method of installing the over-frame blanket assembly includes positioning the first blanket piece in an orientation such that the first sound barrier layer is directly adjacent the cabin liner.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to an aircraft having an in-flight leveling system for a seat onboard the aircraft that includes a swivel mechanism providing selective rotational movement of the a rear portion of the seat to compensate for an angle of inclination of the aircraft during flight. A locking mechanism is coupled to the swivel mechanism to retain the seat in a first position for use on the ground and a second position for use during flight. An actuator moves the locking mechanism between a locked condition and an unlocked condition permitting the seat to move between the first position to the second position enabling the seat to be substantially level when the aircraft is on the ground and during flight.
