    摘要： An adhesive of certain elastomeric block copolymers and tackifying materials can be hot-melt coated onto a flexible backing to provide an adhesive tape, two pieces of which can bond to each other to have excellent resistance to shear forces but can be easily peeled apart, even after prolonged periods of time. The adhesive can be low-tack or tack-free. When the novel adhesive is tacky, it can bind sheets into a note pad from which individual sheets can be removed, temporarily adhered to paper and other substrates, and later cleanly removed, even after prolonged contact.

    摘要： A disposable diaper is provided which includes an outer liquid-impermeable film and a bilayer film bonded to the liquid-impermeable film as a peel-resistant reinforced fastening area. The bilayer film comprises a reinforcing layer and a room-temperature-nontacky bonding layer. The bonding layer holding the reinforcing layer to the liquid-impermeable film with greater force than that which the fastening tape applies when adhered to the top of bilayer film.

    摘要： A power supply system comprises several power supplies, each of which has output terminals that are coupled in parallel to supply respective DC output currents at the same time to a single load. Each power supply also has a branch of a control circuit, and each branch from every supply is coupled in parallel to thereby form a complete control circuit. In these branches, control currents flow that cause the respective output currents from the several power supplies to equalize. Each power supply also has a circuit for automatically turning the supply off independent of the other power supplies when a component in the supply fails; and under such conditions, a switch in the control circuit branch of the failing supply automatically opens which prevents control current from flowing therein and enables the remaining supplies to share the added load.

    摘要： A device for closing zippers on plastic bags, the device being separable from the bags to enable repeated usage. The closing device is adapted to function as an extension of the finger-thumb action. It comprises a generally inverted U-shaped channel for receiving the interlocking elements of the zipper with the opposing legs of the device being resilient and engageable toward one another to press the interlocking zipper elements together. A guide is formed in the legs to align the zipper elements. Projections opposite the guide aid in giving a sense to the user of aligning of the guide with the zipper elements.

    摘要： Graphical information, such as a structural chemical formulae, composed of nodes and links between the nodes, or in a chemical formula ring positions and bonds, are coded by means of logic circuits responsive to actuation of a keyboard. The graphical data coded in binary digit form are stored, while contents of the store are scanned, decoded and applied in analog form to a display device. When recorded on a suitable medium they are made machine readable, for searching or similar processing. A luminous cursor indicates on the display the part of a structural formula that is subject to the next keyboard action. The store is organized about fixed display locations available as nodes. Alphanumeric characters identify atoms at nodes. Single, double or triple bonds in any of eight directions from a node towards another node may be registered and displayed. A cursor address register, a store address register and a comparator are used. Registering at one node a bond designated by character and direction transfers the cursor to the node at the other end of the designated bond. Other transfers of the cursor may be effected by the space bar with the use of the appropriate directional keyed instruction.
