Disclosed are a reciprocating motor and a reciprocating compressor having the same. The reciprocating motor comprises: an outer stator; an inner stator arranged at an inner circumferential surface of the outer stator with an air gap and at which a winding coil is wound; and a magnet arranged between the outer stator and the inner stator and linearly-moved when a power is applied to the winding coil. The winding coil is installed at the inner stator thus to reduce a usage amount of the coil, thereby reducing a fabrication cost of a motor. Also, a resistance of the coil is reduced thereby to enhance an efficiency of the motor.

A multi-head gear pump including: a motor; first and second pumping heads, each of which includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet, and a pair of pumping gears meshing with each other within the housing and pumping a fluid from the inlet to the outlet while rotating. The first and second pumping heads are driven simultaneously by the motor. The first and second pumping heads have different pumping capacities.

A magnetic head including an upper pole and a lower pole for generating a leakage magnetic flux to magnetize a recording medium to have a predetermined pattern, wherein the upper pole has a structure in which the central portion of a side opposite to the recording medium is thicker than the edges of the side. In this magnetic head, the upper pole has a shape in which its central portion protrudes higher than its edges. Thus, the shape of a magnetic field distributed can be maintained rectangular even if the width of the upper pole is reduced, which enables an increase in the track density of a recording medium.

Provided is a vertical writing type magnetic head including a substrate, a bottom pole formed on the substrate, and a top pole aligned with and spaced a predetermined distance apart from the bottom pole, wherein the bottom pole has a narrower width than the top pole. The magnetic write head is constructed such that the width of a bottom pole is narrower than that of a top pole, thereby reducing extension of a magnetic field at sides of a top pole and effectively preventing erasure of information of an adjacent track due to the bottom pole overlapping the adjacent track when there is a constructional skew in a hard disk drive.

A method for printing both sides of a paper in a printer includes the steps of (1) providing a paper supply portion for guiding the entry of paper into a printing unit, a paper output portion for guiding the paper from the printing unit to be output from the printer, and a reversing portion for reversing the orientation of the paper having passed through the printing unit to be resupplied to the inlet of the printing unit, (2) supplying a sheet of paper to the printing unit through the paper supply portion to print a front image on a front side of the paper, (3) guiding the paper on which the front image is printed to the reversing portion to reverse the orientation of the paper, (4) resupplying the reversed paper to the inlet of the printing unit, (5) printing a rear image on the other side of the paper resupplied to the printing unit, and (6) outputting the printed paper through the paper output portion.

A wet electrophotographic printer includes a plurality of electrostatic latent image forming units for forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive belt on an endless track, a developer for fixing a developing solution on a portion of the belt where the electrostatic latent image is formed, a drier for drying the developing solution to form a toner image, a transfer unit for transferring the toner image to a recording sheet, and a carrier unit having a plurality of carrier rollers rotating the photosensitive belt. The transfer unit includes a transfer roller confronting a carrier roller with the photosensitive belt interposed therebetween, a pressing roller confronting the transfer roller with the recording sheet interposed therebetween, and elevating means for elevating the transfer roller and the pressing roller with respect to the transfer roller within a predetermined timing interval. Therefore, the respective contact widths and pressures between the carrier roller and the transfer roller and between the carrier roller and the pressing roller, can be maintained constantly.

A semiconductor manufacturing apparatus using a suctorial device for handling wafers includes a main vacuum line, a manufacturing apparatus for performing predetermined manufacturing processes with respect to the wafers, and a vacuum line for connecting the main vacuum line to the suctorial device. The vacuum line has a first vacuum line directly connected to the main vacuum line, and a second vacuum line having one end connected to the first vacuum line, the other end connected to the suctorial device through a connector installed in the manufacturing apparatus and a body installed in the manufacturing apparatus. The manufacturing apparatus may also contain a plurality of suctorial devices with a corresponding plurality of second vacuum lines and connectors.

An ice detecting apparatus for a refrigerator having an ice maker includes an ice detecting sensor which determines whether or not an ice storage container which receives and stores ice made by the ice maker is full or nearly full of ice based on pulses transmitted from and received by transmitting and receiving units. The ice detecting sensor includes a transmitting unit to transmit one or more pulses and a receiving unit to detect the pulses transmitted from the transmitting unit. A controller is operably coupled to the transmitting and receiving units to determine whether the storage container is full or nearly full based on pulses detected by the receiving unit among one or more pulses transmitted by the transmitting unit. The controller also determines whether or not external light has been introduced into the ice maker based on the pulses detected by the receiving unit.

Provided is an electric field information reading head for reading information from a surface electric charge of an information storage medium, the electric field information reading head comprising a semiconductor substrate having a resistance region formed in a central part at one end of a surface facing a recording medium, the resistance region being lightly doped with impurities, and source and drain regions formed on both sides of the resistance region, the source region and the drain region being more highly doped with impurities than the resistance region. The source region and the drain region extend along the surface of the semiconductor substrate facing the recording medium, and electrodes are connected electrically with the source region and the drain region respectively. In addition, provided is a method of fabricating the electric field information reading head and a method of mass-producing the electric field information reading head on a wafer.
