摘要： A hexahedral-shaped cutting insert has a concavely curved upper surface, a lower surface, a plurality of side surfaces connecting the two, and a central hole passing through the upper and lower surfaces. Cutting edges are formed at intersections between the upper surface and the side surfaces, and corner cutting edge portions are formed at borders of two adjacent cutting edges. Cutting edge height is largest at corner cutting edge portions and smallest in the middle portions. In an inward direction of the insert from a cutting edge, the upper surface has a land portion, a downward inclined surface, a bottom surface, and a seating surface portion. A plurality of semispherical protrusions are formed on border portions between the downward inclined surface and the bottom surface, and at least one corner cutting edge portion has a corner bottom surface surrounded by an outwardly facing arcuate protrusion connecting two adjacent semispherical protrusions.

摘要： A ferroelectric recording medium and a writing method for the same are provided. The ferroelectric recording medium includes a ferroelectric layer which reverses its polarization when receiving a predetermined coercive voltage. A nonvolatile anisotrophic conduction layer is formed on the ferroelectric layer. A resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer decreases when receiving a first voltage lower than the coercive voltage, and the resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer increases when receiving a second voltage higher than the coercive voltage. Multi-bit information is stored by a combination of polarization states of the ferroelectric layer and the resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer. Accordingly, multiple bits can be expressed on one domain of the ferroelectric recording medium.

The micro actuator includes: a supporting unit; stages that are elastically supported by the supporting unit, each stage having a mounting surface where a target driven body is mounted thereon, and arranged adjacent to each other; levers which are disposed between the stages, each lever having two ends respectively connected to adjacent stages, and which apply force to the adjacent stages so that when one of the stages is moved, an adjacent stage is moved in an opposite direction to a moving direction of the moved stage; and driving units which respectively provide a driving force to the stages.

摘要： An electric field read/write head, a method of manufacturing the same, and a data read/write device including the electric field read/write head are provided. The data read/write device includes an electric field read/write head which reads and writes data to and from a recording medium. The electric field read/write head includes a semiconductor substrate, a resistance region, source and drain regions, and a write electrode. The semiconductor substrate includes a first surface and a second surface with adjoining edges. The resistance region is formed to extend from a central portion at one end of the first surface to the second surface. The source region and the drain region are formed at either side of the resistance region and are separated from the first surface. The write electrode is formed on the resistance region with an insulating layer interposed between the write electrode and the resistance region.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus for changing a channel or a varying a volume level of a television receiver having a normal screen mode function and a multiple screen mode function. According to the method, it is first checked whether or not a control signal for the channel or volume level conversions of the main picture or sub-picture is input from a remote controller having plurality of channel changing keys and plurality of volume level changing keys. Thereafter, it is determined whether or not the input control signal is a signal corresponding to either the plurality of channel changing keys or the plurality of volume level changing keys. Afterwards, it is determined whether or not the television is in the multiple screen mode when the input control signal is the signal corresponding to either the plurality of channel changing keys or the plurality of volume level changing keys. Thereafter, when the screen is in the multiple screen mode, either a channel of the main picture or the sub picture is selectively converted and the volume level of the main picture or the sub-picture is varied depending on inputs of the plurality of channel changing keys and the plurality of volume level changing keys. The apparatus comprises a television remote controller capable of changing a channel or a volume level of a television receiver having a screen capable of displaying both a normal mode and a multiple screen mode. The remote controller contains several channel changing and several volume changing keys for changing the channels and the volume on both screens.

The pressing part is formed on the bottom surface of the central body portion of the insert clamp, and has convex curved surfaces to come in tangential contact with the upper surface of the insert on both regions of the bottom surface of the central body portion which is bisected by a central line passing through the forward protrusion and the screw hole.
