    Abstract: Provided herein are method and apparatus for configuration of a Reference Signal (RS) and a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS). An embodiment provides an apparatus for an access node including a radio frequency (RF) interface; and processing circuitry configured to: determine a time density of a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS) based on a subcarrier spacing of a bandwidth part (BWP) in a current component carrier for a user equipment (UE); determine a frequency density of the TRS based on a bandwidth of the TRS; determine a quasi co-location (QCL) relationship of the TRS; and encode the TRS based on at least one of the time density, the frequency density and the QCL relationship for transmission to the UE via the RF interface. At least some embodiments allow for beam management, and allow for fine time and/or frequency offset tracking.

    Abstract: Wireless communication systems can include multiple Transmission and Reception Points (TRPs). Systems, devices, and techniques for control signaling of Precoding Resource block Group (PRG) size configuration for multi-TRP operations are described. A described technique includes determining, by a User Equipment (UE), a PRG size based on a downlink control information (DCI) message that provides scheduling information for a physical ?downlink shared channel (PDSCH); receiving, by the UE, a group of PDSCH transmissions from multiple TRPs that are transmitted in accordance with the DCI message; and decoding, by the UE, one or more of the PDSCH transmissions based on the PRG size.

    Abstract: Provided herein are method and apparatus for beam recovery. An embodiment provides an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) including a radio frequency (RF) interface; and processing circuitry configured to: determine, in response to a beam failure, a channel for transmission of a beam failure recovery request as one of: a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), a non-contention based Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH), and a contention based Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH); and encode the beam failure recovery request for transmission to an access node via the determined channel using the RF interface. At least some embodiments allow for transmission of a beam failure recovery request for beam recovery, allow for beam failure detection or new Tx beam identification, and allow for determining whether to configure a scheduling delay between a PDCCH and a PDSCH.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for wireless communications are described. A described technique includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from one or more Transmission and Reception Points (TRPs), a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission; determining, by the UE for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) carrying hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK), a TRP index in accordance with a control resource set (CORESET) scheduling the PDSCH transmission; and transmitting, by the UE via the PUCCH, HARQ-ACK information based on the receiving of the PDSCH transmission in accordance with the TRP index.

    Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for beam failure recovery (BFR). For example, some embodiments are directed to a user equipment (UE). The UE includes radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to receive, using the radio front end circuitry, one or more reference signals. The processor circuitry can be further configured to, in response to determining that a beam failure occurred for the one or more reference signals, determine a contention-free (CF) physical random access channel (PRACH) resource for a beam failure recovery (BFR) request. The processor circuitry can be further configured to transmit, using the radio front circuitry, the BFR request using the determined CF PRACH resource.
