Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a device receives data regarding wireless communications between a wireless access point and a client. The device evaluates, based on the data, motion of the client relative to the wireless access point. The device makes, based on the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point, a determination that the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point will result in the wireless communications degrading as the client approaches the wireless access point. The device adjusts the wireless communications, based on the determination that the motion of the client relative to the wireless access point will result in the wireless communications degrading as the client approaches the wireless access point.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for assigning Ultra-Wideband (UWB) anchors for client ranging. A location server can estimate a coarse location of a mobile device using a localization technique other than a UWB localization technique. The localization technique can involve multiple wireless access points or other radio devices. The location server can define an area around the coarse location to identify a set of candidate anchors for UWB ranging. The set of candidate anchors can be disposed within the area and include at least a subset of the radio devices. The location server can modify the set of candidate anchors to create a modified set of candidate anchors that includes only UWB-enabled devices. The location server can select a primary anchor from the modified set of candidate anchors and send a command to cause a UWB ranging procedure to be initiated between the primary anchor and the mobile device.

Abstract: A method may be provided. One or more packets from a client may be received, in a block based modulation environment, at one or more switchable antennas of an access point. The access point may have a plurality of switchable antennas. Each switchable antenna may have an antenna state. The plurality of switchable antennas may be switched among such that at least five of the antenna states are sampled. Angle of arrival of the client may be calculated based on the at least five of the antenna states.

Abstract: Optimal determination of wireless antenna configurations may be provided. A computing device may direct an antenna array of an Access Point (AP) to generate a wide beamwidth, to locate a cluster of two or more stations. Upon locating the cluster, the AP can narrow the beamwidth, and, with the narrower beamwidth, receive a key performance indicator (KPI) from at least one of the two or more stations in the cluster. The computing device may then generate a statistical model, based on the KPI and an antenna vector of the antenna array. Based on the statistical model, the computing device can determine a second antenna vector to optimize the KPI for one or more of the client stations. The computing device can then modify the antenna state of the AP to generate the determined antenna vector.

Abstract: A wireless access point device is full-duplex capable and serves wireless communication for at least first and second wireless client devices. The wireless access point device sends to the first wireless client device a trigger frame that causes the first wireless client device to send an uplink transmission to the wireless access point after a first time interval. The wireless access point device waits a second time interval after the first wireless client is expected to begin sending the uplink transmission. The wireless access point device receives the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device. After the second time interval, and while receiving the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device, the wireless access point device sends to the second wireless client device a downlink transmission that overlaps at least partially in frequency and time with the uplink transmission from the first wireless client device.

Abstract: A wireless node in a wireless communication network. The wireless node includes one or more interfaces configured to receive wireless transmissions, a memory comprising instructions, and a hardware processor. The wireless node samples a received wireless transmission into a plurality of time-based subdivisions for each subdivision of the wireless transmission the wireless node determines a cross-correlation between the subdivision and a local syncword. The local syncword is constructed to correlate to any primary synchronization signal, PSS, of a plurality of PSSs defined for synchronization in the wireless network. The wireless node, based on the cross-correlation, determines whether one PSS of the plurality of PSSs is present in the subdivision of the wireless transmission.

Abstract: Access Point (AP) placement using Fine Time Measurement (FTM) may be provided. First, a plurality of Time-of-Flight (ToF) values between a first service end point and a second service end point may be determined. Each one of the plurality of ToF values may be derived from packets transmitted via different beamforming vector patterns at the first service end point and the second service end point. Then a minimum ToF value of the plurality of ToF values may be determined. Next, a distance between the first service end point and the second service end point may be determined based on the minimum ToF value.

Abstract: Presented herein are infrastructure triggering techniques for secure Ultra-Wideband (UWB) ranging. In one example, a method may include providing UWB ranging parameters to a mobile device via a first radio communication, wherein the first radio communication is a non-UWB radio communication; and triggering the mobile device to perform UWB ranging with a UWB anchor, wherein the triggering is performed using a second radio communication. In another example, a method may include, obtaining, by a mobile device, UWB ranging parameters for a geographic area; obtaining a UWB ranging instruction for the geographic area; and performing UWB ranging with a target UWB anchor based on the UWB ranging parameters and the UWB ranging instruction.
