In at least one embodiment, an electrical connector system for a removable vehicle seat including an axle and a locator mounted to the axle is provided. The system includes a first electrical connector rotatably mounted to the axle. The system also includes a second electrical connector. The locator positions the first electrical connector relative to the second electrical connector such that the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are electrically connected. The first electrical connector may include slidable spring biased contact pins or in another embodiment may include outwardly biased contact wings.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of testing a sensor array that is incorporated into a vehicle seat. The method includes the steps of placing a seat pan and cushion assembly having a seat trim cover and a sensor array into a seat build fixture and electrically connecting the sensor array to an electrical testing device capable of determining the actuation of the sensors in the sensor array. The method further includes the steps of determining if the sensors are at a predetermined unloaded output value, activating the seat build fixture to apply compression force to the seat pan and cushion assembly, and determining if the sensors have changed output values where the change corresponds to a predetermined amount. The method also includes the steps of mounting the seat trim cover to the bottom of the seat pan in a predetermined manner to form a completed lower seat assembly and de-activating the seat build fixture to release compression force from the completed lower seat assembly.

    摘要: A charge handle for use in charging a plug-in vehicle having a charge port includes a body having a receptacle for engaging the charge port to provide for charging the vehicle. A latch rotatably mounted to the body has a first end for securing the engagement of the receptacle to the charge port, and has a second end. An actuator lever is rotatably mounted to the body. The actuator lever has a first end connected to the second end of the latch, and has a second end. A trigger mechanism includes a trigger located on the opposite side of the body from the latch. The trigger mechanism is arranged such that depressing the trigger pushes the second end of the actuator lever to rotate the actuator lever to cause the latch to rotate and disengage the receptacle from the charge port.

    摘要: A seat assembly includes a seat defining an outer seating surface. An adjustment mechanism is mounted on the seat and includes a member movable relative to the seating surface for altering the contoured shape of the seating surface. A sensor is mounted on the seat. The sensor detects the location of an applied force acting on the seating surface by an occupant seated on the seat back and detects an applied pressure distribution of the force exerted on the seating surface. The sensor supplies a signal indicative of the location of the applied force and the applied pressure distribution of the force. A controller receives the signal and is operable by a seat occupant for storing information corresponding to the location of the applied force and the applied pressure distribution of the force. The controller is operable to move the member by the adjustment mechanism from an initial position to a subsequent position dependent on a subsequent detection of a location of a second applied force and an applied pressure distribution of the force detected by the sensor.
