    摘要: A switchable cam follower, comprising two relatively movable, e.g., telescopable, units which can be connected via a coupling which engages over a dividing face between the units such that there is a large valve stroke. It is possible to generate no valve stroke or a small valve stroke if the coupling does not engage. At least one spring, which can be loaded compressively or torsionally, acts as a lost motion spring between the units. A compression limiting device impedes movement of the lost motion spring to the blocked position. In an incorrect switching operation in which the coupled units move undesirably toward each other and in a sudden manner under the influence of a valve spring force, movement of the spring into the “blocked” position to become seated is prevented by the limiting device.

    摘要: A switch element (1) is proposed for valve shut-off, fabricated as cam follower for a plunger rod valve drive of an internal combustion engine, having an outer part (2) and an inner element (4) axially movable in its bore (3) and with rotational security (15) relative to the guided inner element (4). The outer part (2), inside the bore (3), has an annular groove (6), and the inner element (4) has a radial bore (7) with two diametrically opposed pistons (8), which to couple the elements (2, 4) in their axially remote relative position achieved by a lost-motion spring (5) are displaceable towards the annular groove (6). On their cam-side under side, emanating from their radially outward, bulbous face, the pistons (8) segmentwise comprise a plane transverse surface as contact area for a facing under side (27) of the annular groove (6). The latter is intersected by two diametrically opposed oil ports (11) running offset 90° from the pistons (8) in circumferential direction. In addition, the outer part (2) has means (13) for rotationally secured guidance of the switch element (1) relative to a surrounding structure.

    摘要: A switchable bucket tappet for a valve drive of an internal combustion engine, which has a bucket base body with a ring-shaped base guided by a skirt projecting from the outer edge of the base in a bore of the engine. A lifting cam acts on the base and a hollow cylindrical extension projects from an inner edge of the base. In the bore, an inner body is axially movable relative to the bucket base body and, formed in the underside of the inner body, is a support for indirect contact with a gas exchange valve. A coupling piston, which has a flattened portion on its upper side, runs in a bore of the inner body and is engaged with a driver surface for full valve lift. A lost motion spring acts between the bucket base body and inner body.

    摘要: A switching element (1) for a valve drive of an internal combustion engine is provided, preferably for deactivating a valve. The switching element has an outer section (2), in addition to an inner element (4) that can be axially displaced in a bore (3) of the outer section. The outer section (2) and the inner element (4) are displaced away from one another by action of lost-motion spring elements (5) and can be coupled together in an axially-distant relative position, whereby at least one piston (6), which is situated in a bore (7) that runs transversally through the inner element (4), acts as a coupling element. An annular groove (8), into which the piston (6) can be partially displaced to adopt its coupling position, is located in the bore (3) of the outer section (2). At least some sections of an underside (9) of the piston (6) have a flat transversal surface (11), which leads from a outer radial end face (10) of the piston and acts as a contact zone for an opposing annular surface (12) of the annular groove (8), and the piston is held in the inner element (4) by a rotational lock (13). Stop elements (15) are allocated to an inner radial end face (14) of the piston (6) for an uncoupling position of the piston, and the rotational lock (13) and the stop elements (15) are formed from one component.

    摘要: The invention proposes a deactivating element (1) for a valve train of an internal combustion engine. The deactivating element (1) comprises a housing (2) and an inner element (4) that is axially displaceable in the bore (3) of the housing (2). According to the invention, the pistons (7) arranged in the inner element (4) for coupling into an annular groove (12) in the housing (2) possess two flattened regions (10, 15) arranged diametrically opposite each other in axial direction of the deactivating element (1). The height of the annular groove (12) is reduced by a measure of a height of the second, additional flattened region (15). Due to the reduction of height of the annular groove (12), its volume is also reduced. This results in advantages activation and deactivation times.

The follower rests on one end via a cap on a spherical head of a pressure piston of the support element. The piston extends in a bore of a housing of the support element. The clamp flanks the cap with holding strips along the sides. The inner sides run in a guide zone on the outer shell of the piston. The housing has an opening for hydraulic fluid that can be conducted between the housing and the piston through at least one passage in the piston to a storage chamber. The guide zone on the piston is also designed as an anti-rotation mechanism therefore. The piston is installed in a defined manner and is torsionally oriented in relation to the cam follower.

The high pressure space is supplied, via a non-return valve from a first reservoir space, which is fed via first passages in the housing and pressure piston. A second reservoir space is formed in the pressure piston axially above the first reservoir space and is filled by second passages in the housing and pressure piston. From the second reservoir space a hydraulic medium is conducted to the cam follower via an opening in the head. The reservoir spaces are separated by a ball around which the internal wall of the pressure piston is wrapped.
