    Abstract: A device includes a display panel with a first end, a second end, a first side, and a second side. The display panel includes a rounded corner region located between the first end and the first side and a plurality of pixel circuits. The plurality of pixel circuits includes a first set of pixel circuits ending in the rounded corner region and a second set of pixel circuits ending in a straight region adjacent to the rounded corner region, the straight region located on the first side of the display panel. A voltage supply bus is configured to carry an electrical signal along the rounded corner region and the straight region. A supplementary voltage supply bus, electrically connected to the voltage supply bus, is configured to carry the electrical signal to the plurality of the first set of pixel circuits in the rounded corner region.

    Abstract: A display can include a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix of rows and columns, and a gate driver circuit including a plurality of row drivers configured as a shift register that sequentially and individually addresses the rows. The display panel can also include a first clock circuit configured to provide a first set of clock signals to a first portion of the row drivers to address a respective first portion of the rows. The first clock circuit can include a signal distribution circuit having a first input impedance. The display panel can also include a second clock circuit configured to provide a second set of clock signals to a second portion of the row drivers to address a respective second portion of the rows. The second clock circuit can include a signal distribution circuit having a second input impedance that is matched with the first input impedance.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement a trace design to reduce bezel area (106). An apparatus includes a pixel array (302) comprising pixel rows (112). The apparatus also includes a row line-driver (110-1) configured to provide electrical signals to at least two of the pixel rows (112-1, 112-2). The apparatus further comprises a plurality of electrical traces (202) that connect the row line-driver (110-1) to the pixel rows. At least one of the electrical traces (202) comprises a branch (210) such that a signal carried by the at least one of the electrical traces (202) enters the at least two of the pixel rows (112-1, 112-2). The branch is disposed closer to the pixel rows (112-1, 112-2) than the row line-driver (110-1). In this way, a number of the electrical traces (202) crossing a bezel area (106) is reduced compared to branching near the row line-driver (110-1).

    Abstract: A display configuration to extend the light emitting and touch sensitive portion of a display panel into areas normally reserved for other light devices is disclosed. In the configuration, light devices and the display panel are configured to operate together. The display panel may include an aperture through the display panel to provide an unobstructed light path to a light device. The display panel may also include a routing area to provide space for data lines feeding pixels to be rerouted around the aperture. The routing area is partially obstructed by data lines but otherwise transparent. Accordingly, some display devices may be positioned behind the routing area and still operate.
