Abstract:
A rear boot (3) hood (4), for a convertible vehicle (1) swivels in relation to the bodyshell, via a first assembly element (13) capable of engaging in a detachable manner into a second assembly element (14) linked to the bodyshell. First and second runner surfaces (13a, 14a, 16c and 17a) work together at the end of the swivel movement of the hood. Means for locking/unlocking comprising first and second means for engaging (16 and 17) lock the hood in relation to the bodyshell. According to the invention, the first and second means for engaging (16 and 17) respectively have between them first and second contact surfaces with co-operative shapes, so that for at least the main part of its stroke, said first means for engaging (16) applies a substantially constant pressure on the corresponding second means for engaging (17).
Abstract:
This invention relates to a control device for tilting for at least one movable roof panel for a convertible vehicle comprising a structural body, a passenger compartment and at least two seats side by side arranged in this passenger compartment on each side of a vertical longitudinal plane of the vehicle. The control device comprises an actuator arranged and acting approximately in this vertical longitudinal plane. The actuator is connected to the roof panel to tilt it.
Abstract:
A convertible roof for a vehicle and associated vehicle, the roof comprising at least one front roof element and a rear roof element which can move between a deployed position, in which the front roof element and the rear roof element cover the passenger compartment, and a storage position, in which the front roof element and the rear roof element are stored in the boot of the vehicle. The roof also comprising two pivot arms which each pivot along an axis. The roof comprising motorization means, first means of locking the pivot arms to the post of the windshield of the vehicle and second means of locking at least one front roof element of the pivot arms. The first and second locking means and the pivoting movement of the arms are controlled by the same motorization means, such as an electric motor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rear parcel shelf system for a convertible vehicle with a hard folding roof. The system has a first retractable shelf. The inventive system also has a second shelf which is intended to be disposed under the bonnet of the rear boot when the roof is in the closed position and has a device for moving and guiding the second shelf towards the front of the vehicle in order to fill the space between the back of the corresponding seats and the front edge of the bonnet when the roof is in the folded position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a convertible roof for a vehicle. More specifically, the invention relates to locking means comprising a traveller which is mounted in a guide rail that is solidly connected to a roof element. The system also comprises: first elastomeric means which are designed to return the aforementioned traveller to an unlocked position; push means which are controlled by the translational movement of a bolt which is mounted to a threaded part of a rod, in order to push the traveller into a locked position against the force of said first elastic means; and at least one locking pin which is mounted to the traveller or the guide rail, such as to co-operate with a complementary locking member when the traveller is in the locked position, said complementary locking member being solidly connected to an adjacent roof element or to the front or rear of the vehicle body.
Abstract:
Close to its front inner corner, each side plate is provided with an extension extending transversely inwards under the central plate and carrying a pivot member adapted to co-operate with a coaxial complementary pivot member fixed under the central plate, and in that each side plate is mounted to pivot about an axis that is common to the two pivot members, which axis is substantially perpendicular to the top surface of the central plate and arranged such that, in the pivoted position, each side plate is stowed substantially under the central plate. The system further advantageously comprising a device for causing each side plate to pivot relative to the central plate while the central plate is pivoting.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pivoting convertible roof for a motor vehicle. The inventive roof comprises numerous rigid roof elements (1, 2, 3) which can be moved between a first position, in which they cover the passenger compartnent (5) of the vehicle, and a second position, in which they are stored inside the boot (4) of the vehicle such that they are stacked more or less horizontally under the hood (4a) of said boot (4). According to the invention, the assembly of roof elements (1, 2, 3), which are stored inside the boot (4), is mounted to pivot in relation to an axle (8) that is disposed inside the boot (4). In this way, said assembly can be raised upwards when the hood (4a) of the boot (4) is being opened or after said hood has been opened in a forward manner.
Abstract:
A retractable roof that is retractable into the rear trunk of a vehicle, said roof comprising a rigid front element that is connected in hinged manner to a central rigid rear element whose rear end is hinged to the structural framework of the vehicle, and right and left side elements whose front portions are associated with the front element and whose rear portions are associated with the central rear element, said elements being mounted to move between a first position in which they cover the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and a second position in which they are folded up inside the rear trunk, said roof further comprising first drive means for driving the side elements, which first drive means are associated with the front element, and second drive means for driving the side elements, which second drive means are associated with central rear element, said first and second drive means being arranged to enable the side elements to be shifted clear towards the front of the vehicle when the front element and the central rear element are in their second position.
Abstract:
In a vehicle, each of the pivot assemblies comprises a base secured to the bodywork of the vehicle, a body which is connected to a rear trunk lid via a hinge-forming member, and locking means for locking the body in a position where it is locked relative to said base. The locking means comprise hook-forming means pivotally mounted on the base and adapted to engage a complementary bearing shape of a first engaging element to bear against said bearing shape and to guide the end of the pivoting movement of the lid into the corresponding locked position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rear panel for a vehicle fitted with a convertible roof which may be stored in the rear boot (2), guide means for displacing said panel from a first closed position, in which the above extends essentially horizontally between a chassis element (1) of the vehicle and the front edge of a lid (3) for said boot, into a raised position in which said lid is arranged essentially vertically such as to release a space for the passage of said roof between said chassis element (1) and said front edge. The panel is characterised in comprising a front longitudinal piece (4) and a rear longitudinal piece (5) and the guide means are arranged to place the front longitudinal pieces (4) and the rear longitudinal pieces (5) essentially parallel to each other in the raised position, with the front pieces in front of the rear pieces and to place said pieces (4, 5) in a second closed position where the panel is arranged essentially horizontally between the chassis (1) and the rear edge of the rear part (14) of the roof with the rear edge of the front longitudinal piece (4) overlapping the front edge of the rear longitudinal piece (5).
