Abstract:
A method includes: determining, by a terminal device, M pilots of N air interface technologies on a carrier, where each of the N air interface technologies corresponds to one of the M pilots; measuring, by the terminal device, at least one cell by using the M pilots, to generate a measurement report; and determining, by the terminal device, a target cell in the at least one cell based on the measurement report. After determining the target cell, the terminal device may access the target cell. In this way, a plurality of services that are greatly different may be transmitted by using the N air interface technologies, corresponding air interface technologies are provided based on different service requirements of the terminal device, and resources may be dynamically allocated to the plurality of air interface technologies, thereby effectively improving radio resource utilization.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a method of obtaining user equipment context information that includes: receiving, by a first base station, a first radio resource control (RRC) connection establishment request sent by a user equipment (UE), where the first RRC connection establishment request carries connection status information before the UE sends the first RRC connection establishment request; determining, by the first base station according to the connection status information, whether the first base station meets a condition for requesting the UE context information; if the first base station determines that the first base station does not meet the condition for requesting the UE context information, sending, by the first base station, the UE context information establishment request to a mobility management entity (MME); and receiving, by the first base station, a response message sent by the MME for responding to the UE context information establishment request, where the response message carries the UE context information.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide an RRC connection method and an apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, a deactivation indication message sent by a first base station, where the deactivation indication message carries indication information relating to mobility control of the terminal, and the first base station is a serving base station of the terminal; and releasing, by the terminal, an RRC connection according to the deactivation indication message, reserving context information of the terminal, and entering an inactive state. In this solution, the context information of the terminal does not need to be released, so that when entering a connected state again, the terminal does not need to obtain the context information again, thereby reducing signaling overheads.
Abstract:
A subframe processing method and device are disclosed. The subframe processing method includes: if data packets that are not received by an evolved NodeB (eNB) include at least two consecutive Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) data packets to be scheduled in a Dynamic Schedule Period (DSP) by the eNB, setting a subframe of the eNB that is used to transmit Dynamic Schedule Information (DSI) corresponding to the DSP to null. When the eNB finds that consecutive MBMS data packets are lost and/or that a type 0 Protocol Data Unit (PDU) group is lost, a subframe used to transmit the DSI may be set to null, thereby preventing the eNB from transmitting incorrect DSI which may interfere with other eNBs and cause incorrect data receiving of a user equipment (UE).
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a data forwarding method, device, and communications system, which relate to the field of communications and can achieve accuracy and continuity of data transmission during carrier aggregation for cells between base stations. The method includes: sending, by a primary base station, a first message to a secondary base station, where the first message is used to instruct the secondary base station to perform handover, and the first message includes an identifier of a target base station; confirming, by the primary base station, that the secondary base station forwards data to the target base station; and sending, by the primary base station, a second message to a user equipment, where the second message is used to instruct the user equipment to acquire the data from the target base station. The embodiments of the present invention are used for data forwarding.
Abstract:
The embodiments of the present invention relates to a multimedia broadcast multicast communication method, an apparatus, and a system. The method includes: receiving, by a base station, first indication information at a first time, where the first indication information instructs the base station to suspend transmitting service data in a multimedia broadcast multicast service MBSFN manner; and sending, by the base station, second indication information to user equipment UE according to the first indication information, so that the UE suspends, at a second time according to the second indication information, receiving the service data in the MBSFN manner. The first time is earlier than the second time, and duration between the first time and the second time is less than a multicast control channel MCCH modification period. The user equipment is notified in a more timely manner to suspend transmitting the service data in the MBSFN manner.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a beam configuration method which includes: sending initial beam index information of an initial beam, allocated for user equipment, of a millimeter wave band to the user equipment; receiving a radio resource management (RRM) measurement report from the user equipment, where the RRM measurement report is obtained after the user equipment performs RRM measurement on the initial beam that is indicated by the initial beam index information; and determining, according to the RRM measurement report, the initial beam index information that is used for communication with the user equipment.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for obtaining a secondary timing advance. The method includes: after a secondary cell activation command is received or after a secondary cell is activated, if a secondary time alignment timer TAT of the secondary cell does not run, initiating, by a terminal, a random access procedure; and obtaining, by the terminal, the secondary TA according to a TA received in the random access procedure. With the method and the device for obtaining a timing advance according to embodiments of the present invention, a terminal initiates a random access procedure to obtain a secondary timing advance after the terminal receives a secondary cell activation command sent by a base station or after a secondary cell is activated, thereby saving signaling overhead and system resources.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a radio bearer establishment method and a base station and relate to the communications field. The method provided in the embodiments of the present invention includes: sending, by a first base station, first request information to a second base station, so that the second base station establishes a radio bearer between the second base station and user equipment UE according to the first request information, where the radio bearer includes a signaling radio bearer SRB, or a data radio bearer DRB, or an SRB and a DRB; and receiving, by the first base station, first response information sent by the second base station, where the first response information includes radio bearer establishment information that is used to indicate, to the first base station, a success or a failure to establish the radio bearer between the second base station and the user equipment UE.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for determining a timing advance group of a serving cell, including: determining, by a source base station of a user equipment, a target base station that the user equipment is to be handed over to; sending auxiliary information for determining a timing advance group of a target serving cell of the user equipment to the target base station; receiving the timing advance group of the target serving cell of the user equipment that is determined by the target base station according to the auxiliary information; and sending the timing advance group to the user equipment. Implementation of the method provided by the present invention can avoid timing advance grouping performed on a secondary carrier after handover, and reduce data transmission interruption or delay incurred by the handover, thereby improving quality of service of a communications service.
