The display device also controls a signal applied to dots adjacent to the defective dot so as to display a color which is closer to an original color obtained by input signals to the defective dot and the adjacent dots.

摘要： An electronic blood pressure monitor includes a cuff, a system for pressurizing the cuff, and pressure and pulse wave sensors in the cuff. In the monitor the maximum amplitude of the pulse wave is extracted and an area between the envelope lines of certain data is computed. Maximum area values are computed on the higher and lower sides of the cuff pressure corresponding to the maximum value of the pulse wave amplitude; from these area values are computed maximum and minimum blood pressure values. In another aspect, the pulse wave signal from the pulse wave sensor is separated into signal components greater and less than a reference value, these signal components are smoothed and combined and blood pressure values are determined from the combined signals and the cuff pressure values derived from the pressure sensor in the cuff.

摘要： A fixing device fixes a toner image on a recording medium by heating the recording medium, with a heating area and a non-heating area selected in accordance with a magnetic flux and a repulsive magnetic flux. The fixing device includes a heat generating layer, an exciting coil, and a demagnetizing member. The heat generating layer generates heat. The exciting coil generates the magnetic flux, and thereby inductively heats the heat generating layer. The demagnetizing member faces the heat generating layer in the non-heating area. The demagnetizing member generates the repulsive magnetic flux against the magnetic flux generated by the exciting coil, and thereby demagnetizes the magnetic flux and suppresses the heating. Further, the demagnetizing member has a demagnetization effect different between at least a portion of the non-heating area adjacent to the heating area and the remaining portion of the non-heating area.
