摘要: A headrest for a vehicle seat has a tubular stay to be attached to a seatback and a connector to be connected to an end of the stay. The stay includes a shaft hole, an attachment hole, and a notched surface. The attachment hole penetrates from an outer surface of the stay to the shaft hole in the radial direction. The notched surface is circumferentially adjacent to the attachment hole and is substantially orthogonal to the attachment hole. The connector includes a cantilevered locking strip to be inserted into the shaft hole while being resiliently deformed. The locking strip includes a projection. The projection fits in the attachment hole by being resiliently restored. And the projection includes an extending portion being wider than the circumferential width of the attaching hole and extending over the notched surface by being resiliently restored.

摘要: In a game system, a player can displace direction of a view line disposed in a three-dimensional space coordinate system to change the corresponding perspective-projected image by changing the aim of the gun-type controller, by setting a specific region on a perspective projection plane; detecting a designated position with respect to a display plane, which is designated; determining whether or not the designated position is located in a specific region; displacing the view line direction or moving the view point position based on the positional relationship of the designated position and the specific region when the designated position is not positioned inside the specific region; and finding a two-dimensional image obtained by perspective projection in the new view line direction after the displacement of the view line direction or movement of the view point position and displaying two-dimensional images on the display device.

摘要: A transmission power control method in a mobile satellite communication system implementing accurate control of transmission power of a base station by obtaining an average received signal level at a mobile station at high accuracy. The mobile station measures an average received signal level Q.sub.k in a predetermined period (step SP2), and informs the base station of the average received signal level Q.sub.k and an actual measuring time T.sub.k (step SP3). The base station calculates a total measuring time t.sub.k which is the sum total of the actual measuring time T.sub.k (step SP16), a corrected average received signal level R.sub.k associated with the average received signal level during the total measuring time t.sub.k (step SP18), and a measuring error .DELTA.D.sub.k (step SP17), and controls the transmission power on the basis of these values (step SP21). Estimating the measuring error .DELTA.D.sub.k in the total measuring time t.sub.k longer than the individual actual measuring time T.sub.k makes it possible to reduce the measuring error, thereby implementing highly accurate transmission power control.

摘要: The present invention relates to a liquid crystal composition for use in thermal writing type liquid crystal displays in which a thermooptical effect is utilized. A technical subject of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal composition characteristically having an extremely narrow nematic range and a low-melting phase transition point, and another object of the present case is to provide a liquid crystal display element using this composition. The present invention is directed to a liquid crystal composition which comprises a component A comprising at least one of 4-n-alkyl-4'-cyanobiphenyls represented by the formula (1) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 carbon atoms, and a component B comprising at least one of 4-n-alkoxycarbonyloxy-4'-cyanobiphenyls represented by the formula (2) ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 is an alkyl group having 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 carbon atoms, a ratio of the component A to the component B being from 25:75 to 95:5.Since the liquid crystal composition of the present invention has a nematic range of 2.degree. C. or less, the writing velocity of the display element is accelerated, and the contrast on a projection screen is bettered, whereby display quality is improved remarkably. Additionally, since having a melting point of 0.degree. C. or less, the liquid crystal composition of the present inventin can be used in thermal writing type liquid crystal displays without any problems which can be utilized indoors and at room temperature.
