    摘要: A headrest for a vehicle seat has a tubular stay to be attached to a seatback and a connector to be connected to an end of the stay. The stay includes a shaft hole, an attachment hole, and a notched surface. The attachment hole penetrates from an outer surface of the stay to the shaft hole in the radial direction. The notched surface is circumferentially adjacent to the attachment hole and is substantially orthogonal to the attachment hole. The connector includes a cantilevered locking strip to be inserted into the shaft hole while being resiliently deformed. The locking strip includes a projection. The projection fits in the attachment hole by being resiliently restored. And the projection includes an extending portion being wider than the circumferential width of the attaching hole and extending over the notched surface by being resiliently restored.

    摘要: A headrest for a vehicle seat has a base member attached to a seatback of the vehicle seat, a body frame attached to the base member so as to be capable of tilting, a locking device for locking the body frame with the base member so as not to be capable of tilting, and an unlocking device for unlocking the locking device. The unlocking device includes a swinging body attached to the base member so as to be capable of swinging and a moving body attached to the body frame so as to be capable of moving with respect thereto. The moving body moves with respect to the body frame by being pushed by the swinging body to unlock the locking device. The swinging body has a connecting portion to which one end of a cable is connected and an arcuate-shaped outer peripheral surface on which the cable is disposed. And the cable is retracted into a tubular portion provided on the base member from an entrance of the tubular portion when the cable is pulled to unlock the locking device. The entrance of the tubular portion is located substantially on a tangent line of the arc of the outer peripheral surface.

    摘要: A ferroelectic smectic C liquid crystal mixture and a display element having a quick electrooptical response and a good memory property are provided, the ferroelectric mixture having a Ps of 60 nC/cm2 or more and a tilt angle of 24.degree. or more and comprising(A) a first component comprising at least one optically active compound expressed by the formula ##STR1## wherein l and m are 0 or 1, both are not 1; n is an integer of 3 to 8; X and Y are H, F, Cl, or CN, both X and Y are not H; A is --COO-- or --OCO--; and R is C3--8 alkyl or alkoxy , and(B) a second component comprising at least one optically active compound expressed by the formula ##STR2## wherein l, m, n and R are as defined above; and A is --COO--, --OCO--, --CH.sub.2 O-- or --OCH.sub.2 --, a total content of the first and second components being 60 mol % or more in the mixture.
