摘要: An apparatus and method of establishing communication between a first application added to a platform, and a second application executing on the platform, controls the first and second applications to establish a path for interapplication communication. To that end, a notify message is forwarded to the second application when the first application is added to the system. Receipt of the notify message by the second application causes the second application to ascertain path data for establishing a path between the two applications. The first application also ascertains path data for establishing a path between the applications. The first and second applications then are controlled to establish a single path between the first application and the second application after the path data is ascertained.

摘要: An apparatus and method of managing communication between a first application that has failed and an executing second application permits the first application to establish a path to the second application. To that end, a fail message (notifying the second application that the first application has failed) is forwarded toward the second application, and the first application is restarted. As noted above, the first application establishes a path to the second application after it is restarted. Once the path is established, the second application is notified that the first application is ready to communicate via the path.

摘要: A container for a composition made of multiple components includes an outer housing having a chamber and an inner housing having a compartment. The inner housing includes a frangible wall portion that, when ruptured, enables the components to contact each other for mixing. Advantageously, the inner housing can be manufactured separately from the outer housing, and the housings can be assembled during a subsequent operation. In certain embodiments, the inner housing is slidable relative to the outer housing from a first position to a second position, and during the sliding movement a puncturing tool located within the container breaks the frangible wall portion and causes the components to contact each other.

摘要: A container includes an inner chamber and one or more compartments that hold components of a composition apart from each other until needed for use. The container includes two or more sheets that are ruptured for mixing the components together when desired. In certain embodiments, the container includes an inner surface with a plurality of protrusions to facilitate mixing and dispensing of the mixed composition. In other embodiments, the container includes an articulated holder that enables the user to adjust the configuration of the container to any one of a number of orientations.

摘要: Oil is recovered from an underground formation by the use of steam and a gas rich in oxygen. In a priming stage, high quality saturated steam or superheated steam is injected into the formation to raise the reservoir temperature, in the vicinity of injection, to the combustion temperature of the oil. Then, in a combustion stage, the injection of steam is continued and oxygen-containing gas is injected as well, so that local combustion of oil occurs. This results in further heating of the steam and the generation of hot combustion gases, increasing the mobility of the oil and creating pressure drive. The priming and combustion stages may be part of a cyclic steam stimulation ("huff and puff") method or a steam flooding method. Special expedients are provided for the safe use of oxygen and steam.

摘要: A new and distinct Ternstroemia cultivar named ‘BLTG01’ is disclosed, characterized by distinctive dark green with a strong red-bronze flush when immature. Plants have a compact habit and are easily maintained in the landscape with minimal pruning. Leaves hold up well in direct sunlight with minimal leaf yellowing or scorching. The new cultivar is a Ternstroemia, suitable for ornamental garden purposes.

摘要: An optical imaging system and method for use in a degraded visual environment is provided. A wideband modulated laser pulse is transmitted from a first location through a medium toward a target object. An input of the transmitted wideband modulated laser pulse is detected by an optical receiver. A target modulated laser pulse, reflected from the target object is detected by the optical receiver. The transmitted and reflected laser pulses are filtered by a bandpass filter, based on a predetermined modulated frequency range. The filtered transmitted and reflected laser pulses are digitized by an analog-digital converter. The digitized transmitted laser pulse is correlated with digitized reflected laser pulse by a digital matched filter, wherein the matched filter produces a passband matched filter output. A range of the target object is determined based on the matched filter output.
