There is provided an evaluating system of a robot characterized in including a sensor provided at an arm of a robot for detecting a movement state amount of the arm, an angle detector for measuring an articulate angle of each axis servo motor of the robot, a first sensor operating portion for converting a state amount of the sensor into a state amount in a robot coordinate system, a second sensor operating portion for converting an articulate angle of the angle detector into a state amount in the robot coordinate system, and an output synthesizing portion for synthesizing an output of the first sensor operating portion and an output of the second sensor operating portion.

    摘要: An interferometer includes a waveguide core, and thin film heaters with widths W1 and W2. The thin film heaters are mounted directly above the waveguide core, and operate as two types of different annealing regions. The annealing, which is carried out by supplying current to the thin film heaters, can alter the quality of the cladding, and change the stress applied on the waveguide core, thereby making it possible to control the polarization dependency. Thus changing the width of the thin film heaters and/or the amount of the supply current thereto enables the permanent control of the effective refractive index (birefringence index) independently in the transverse electric polarization mode and the transverse magnetic polarization mode. This enables the transverse electric polarization mode to be adjusted to a phase difference of &lgr;/2, and the transverse magnetic polarization mode to a phase difference of zero.

    摘要: A process for exhaust gas desulfurization by the wet lime-gypsum process comprises an absorption step for scrubbing the exhaust gases with a calcium hydroxide slurry as an absorbent; an oxidizing step for oxidizing a slurry composed chiefly of calcium sulfite from the absorption step; and a solids-liquid separation step for separating a slurry composed mainly of gypsum from the oxidizing step, characterized in that the liquid from said solids-liquid separation step is passed into a sulfate impurity reaction step where said liquid reacts with added calcium hydroxide and is thereby freed from water-soluble sulfate impurities; and the so purified liquid is supplied to the absorbent preparation step where it is mixed with calcium hydroxide to form said absorbent. Also, precipitates formed in said sulfate impurity reaction step are supplied to said absorbent preparation step.
