    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus and computer program products for providing broadcast/multicast services. A method at least partially implemented at an application server comprises transmitting a resource request message to a first broadcast/multicast control node (BM-CN), requesting an allocation of broadcast resource for delivering a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) user service; transmitting a further resource request message to a second BM-CN, requesting a further allocation of broadcast resource for delivering the MBMS user service; receiving a first response message from the first BM-CN and a second response message from the second BM-CN, the first response message indicating a first broadcast resource allocated by the first BM-CN for the MBMS user service, and the second response message indicating a second broadcast resource allocated by the second BM-CN for the MBMS user service; and indicating information about the second broadcast resource to the first BM-CN and/or indicating information about the first broadcast resource to the second BM-CN. Methods at the BM-CN and a RAN network node, and corresponding apparatus are also provided.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for enabling user equipment (UE) context retrieval in radio resource control RRC inactive status with a shared radio access network (RAN) database (DB) within a distributed database architecture. A version indicator in an inactive Radio Network Temporary Identifier (I-RNTI) is populated by the UE to indicate one or more I-RNTI versions, defined herein, and indicates the type of data in the remainder of the I-RNTI used for communicating the location of a RAN DB that stores the UE context, to a target network node. The target network node then uses the data in the I-RNTI, further dependent on the I-RNTI version, to retrieve the UE content from the RAN database. Certain embodiments utilize a RAN DB Area (RDBA) and/or RAN DB Set Area (RDSA), and certain embodiments utilize a network node set ID.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for creation of a PCS connection between the remote user equipment (UE) and the relay UE. The remote UE may provide its identifier (e.g., a subscription concealed identifier (SUCI)) to the relay UE and the relay UE may forward this identifier to the network so that the network can authenticate the remote UE. The network may check the authorization of using the relay UE and/or for relaying the remote UE (e.g., both the remote UE and the relay UE may be checked for a configuration that permits the relaying). For the authentication and authorization, the access and mobility management function (AMF) associated with the relay UE may forward the messages between the remote UE and the authentication server function (AUSF) of the remote UE.
