Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for dynamically activating and deactivating random-access channel (RACH) occasions (ROs). A base station may configure one or more ROs on which a user equipment (UE) can transmit RACH messages. If higher priority signaling (e.g., downlink signaling or uplink signaling) overlaps in time with the ROs, the base station may deactivate one or more ROs to decrease the likelihood of self-interference or cross-link interference (e.g., if the UE or the base station are operating in full duplex mode). The base station may deactivate or activate ROs by indicating indices for one or more ROs, indices for one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), a pattern of ROs, some or all ROs within a time period, some or all ROs until a next downlink signal updates the RO configuration or activates ROs, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reducing the overhead associated with reporting feedback, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message from a base station indicating that the UE is to request resources for transmitting negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback for a downlink transmission. If the UE fails to receive or decode the downlink transmission, the UE may request resources from the base station on which to transmit the NACK feedback for the downlink transmission. Because the UE may be configured to request resources on which to transmit the NACK feedback, the UE may avoid transmitting HARQ feedback for every downlink transmission from the base station. Thus, the base station may avoid allocating resources for HARQ feedback from the UE for every downlink transmission, and the overhead of reporting HARQ feedback is reduced.

Abstract: Aspects for predicting communication configurations for a wireless node are provided. Assisting information is measured or assessed at a first wireless node. The assisting information may include clutter and blocker measurements, self-interference measurements, and various beam, frequency, and modulation-related measurements. A control node may determine a communication configuration based on the assisting information. The communication configuration may be predicted for use at a subsequent time period. The first wireless node may receive and approve the configuration. The first wireless node may use the communication configuration in a subsequent communication with a second wireless node. The communication configuration may include, for example, whether the first wireless node will communicate using a full-duplex or half-duplex configuration and the TX/RX beam configuration for the node.

Generally, the described techniques provide for using different configurations for downlink or uplink transmissions associated with different transmission configuration indication (TCI) states (e.g., transmitted on different beams). In one example, a base station may use different configurations for downlink transmissions to a user equipment (UE), and the base station may indicate the different configurations to the UE. For instance, the base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) indicating a baseline configuration and other configurations as a delta of the baseline configuration. In another example, a base station may dynamically indicate a timing advance to a UE (e.g., in DCI or flow control feedback) for an uplink transmission from the UE associated with a TCI state, and the UE may use the dynamically indicated timing advance for uplink transmissions associated with the TCI state.

Generally, the described techniques provide for training a beam for multiple component carriers (CCs) for concurrent communications in a wireless communications system associated with limited user equipment (UE) capabilities. The beam training may improve a receive or transmit beam for two or more CCs as a group that share an RF chain. The UE may receive, via a first receive beam, a first reference signal on a group of CCs over a first symbol. The UE may also receive, via a second receive beam, a second reference signal on the group of CCs over a second symbol. The UE may select a receive beam for a subsequent communication based on determining a value of a parameter for each of the first and the second receive beam.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure, while communicating with a serving transmit receive point (TRP) in a half-duplex communication mode, one or more synchronization signal block (SSB) beams associated with one or more neighbor TRPs. The UE may transmit, to a base station, a mobility report indicating at least one candidate TRP based at least in part on determining that an SSB beam transmitted by the at least one candidate TRP satisfies criteria to be paired in a full-duplex communication mode or a simultaneous half-duplex multi-TRP (mTRP) communication mode. Abstract: A victim user equipment (UE) may experience cross-link interference (CLI) from transmissions from an aggressor UE. The present disclosure provides for configuration of a CLI report that accurately characterizes the CLI experienced by the victim UE for different beams. A base station may transmit to the victim UE, a configuration for CLI reporting associated with a plurality of measurement resources, the configuration identifying a quasi-co-location (QCL) information associated with each measurement resource. The victim UE may measure interference metrics on the plurality of measurement resources based on the configuration for CLI reporting and the QCL information associated with each measurement resource. The victim UE may transmit a CLI report to the base station, the CLI report including a subset of the interference metrics associated with reported measurement resources and identifying the QCL information associated with the reported measurement resources.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing signaling for indicating a scheduled full duplex (FD) uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) traffic scheduling combination for differentiation of FD traffic. In some aspects, a BS may transmit a downlink control information (DCI) message that includes an indication of the scheduled FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination. The FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination may identify scheduled UL and DL transmissions for FD mode operation. The UE may receive the DCI message and identify the scheduled FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination. In some aspects, the BS may provide a DCI message to the UE that indicates whether a DL transmission is being scheduled that at least partially overlaps with a scheduled UL transmission. The UE may initiate a power save mode based on the received DCI message.
