Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for avoiding conflicts of resources assigned to one or more signals with resources assigned to Random Access Channel (RACH) in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network. Configurations for first and second sets of signals are obtained for a first and second base station (BS) respectively. Based on the obtained configurations, a RACH configuration is determined for the first BS for performing a RACH procedure with the second BS over a wireless backhaul link, wherein one or more Physical RACH (PRACH) occasions according to the determined RACH configuration do not conflict with resources used for at least one of the first or the second set of signals. The determined RACH configuration is communicated to the second BS, wherein the second BS transmits a RACH signal to the first BS based on the determined RACH configuration.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to devices for coordinating resource usage. A scheduled device receives a downlink control information (DCI) grant from a scheduling device, the DCI grant identifying scheduled resources for communicating data. The scheduled device decides whether the DCI grant is acceptable for communicating the data and sends an acknowledgement to the scheduling device based on the decision and information associated with the DCI grant. The scheduled device communicates the data via the scheduled resources when the DCI grant is decided to be acceptable. A scheduling device transmits the DCI grant to the scheduled device and receives the acknowledgement from the scheduled device based on the information associated with the DCI grant. The acknowledgement indicates whether the DCI grant is acceptable for communicating the data. The scheduling device communicates the data via scheduled resources identified in the DCI grant when the DCI grant is indicated to be acceptable.

Abstract: A node for wireless communication identifies a number of actually transmitted reference signals. The node identifies a number of available PRACH time-frequency resources and preamble indices in a time period. The node identifies a number of configured PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices per reference signal. The node determines that the available number of PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices within the time period is not an integer multiple of the product of the number of actually transmitted reference signals and the number of configured PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices per reference signal. The node maps the actually transmitted reference signals to the available PRACH time-frequency resources and preamble indices based on the identified information and determination.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may determine a transmission configuration for a first random access message based at least in part on one or more parameters associated with a target base station for initiating a backhaul connection. The transmission configuration may include information associated with a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with transmitting the first random access message. The PRACH resource differs from a PRACH resource associated with a transmission of a random access message by a user equipment. The base station may transmit the first random access message using the transmission configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: To synchronize an apparatus during wireless communication, an apparatus may transmit a Random Access Channel (RACH) preamble sequence to a base station. However, care must be taken to prevent the RACH preamble sequence from causing inadequate levels of interference in other uplink resources. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine, based on a RACH subcarrier spacing and a data tone subcarrier spacing, a number of RACH tones allocated for a transmission of a RACH preamble sequence. In this manner, the apparatus may ensure that adequate uplink resources are allocated to prevent interference.
