Abstract: Provided are D2D communication methods and D2D-enabled wireless devices. The D2D communication method performed by a D2D-enabled wireless device includes transmitting signals in D2D subframes with a randomization pattern. The randomization pattern is designed based on relative subframe positions in a virtual pure D2D subframe sequence composed of multiple D2D subframes in one or more radio frames. In another embodiment, the eNB scheduling based resource allocation and the D2D-enabled wireless device selection on its own based resource allocation share a same randomization pattern design.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting a periodic channel quality report (CSI) and/or a sounding reference symbol (SRS) from a UE to an eNodeB. To avoid double decoding at the eNodeB in transient phases, a deterministic behavior of the UE is defined by the invention, according to which the eNodeB can unambiguously determine whether the UE will transmit the CSI/SRS or not. According to one embodiment, the UL grants and/or DL assignments received until and including subframe N−4 only are considered; UL grants and/or DL assignments received by the UE after subframe N−4 are discarded for the determination. Additionally, DRX-related timers at subframe N−4 are considered for the determination. In a second embodiment, DRX MAC control elements from the eNodeB, instructing the UE to enter DRX, i.e., become Non-Active, are only considered for the determination if they are received before subframe N−4, i.e., until and including subframe N−(4+k).

Abstract: A radio communication terminal that increases the ACK/NACK resource utilization efficiency while preventing ACK/NACK collision, and that causes no unnecessary reduction of the PUSCH band in a system that transmits E-PDCCH control information. The radio communication terminal adopts a configuration including a receiving section that receives a control signal including an ACK/NACK index via an enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) transmitted using one configuration from among one or a plurality of configuration candidates, a control section that selects a resource to be used for an ACK/NACK signal of downlink data from among specified resources specified beforehand based on E-PDCCH configuration information used for transmission or reception of the E-PDCCH and the ACK/NACK index, and a transmitting section that transmits the ACK/NACK signal using the selected specified resource.

Abstract: The present invention relates to providing control information within a search space for blind decoding in a multi-carrier communication system. In particular, the control information is carried within a sub-frame of the communication system, the sub-frame including a plurality of control channel elements. The control channel elements may be aggregated into candidates for blind decoding. The number of control channel elements in a candidate is called aggregation level. In accordance with the present invention, the candidates of lower aggregation levels are localized, meaning that the control channel elements of one candidate are located adjacently to each other in the frequency domain. Some candidates of the higher aggregation level(s) are distributed in the frequency.

Abstract: The present invention relates to selection of synchronization source among various synchronization sources which include sources determining the synchronization signal from the network such as base stations (network nodes) or user equipments which receive the synchronization signal possibly over other hops from the base station, and which further includes sources which do not determine their synchronization signal from the network. The selection of the synchronization source is performed by choosing the source with the most reliable synchronization signal based on a metric calculated for each of the sources considered. In particular, the metric is based on the type of the source, number of hops between the network and the source and/or received signal quality. After selecting the source, the timing of the device is adapted accordingly.
