Abstract: A method of establishing communication between a first device and a second device to exchange ranging information is provided. According to an embodiment, the method includes: sending, by the first device to the second device via a first channel, or receiving, by the first device from the second device via the first channel, a first control message indicating a start time; sending, by the first device to the second device via a second channel, a second control message including one or more ranging parameter values for exchanging the ranging information, the second control message being sent at the start time; and exchanging, by the first device with the second device via the second channel, the ranging information over one or more ranging rounds.

Abstract: A method for associating and authenticating a station (STA) with a coordinated access point (AP) group may include generating a pairwise master key (PMK) between the STA and a coordinator of the coordinated AP group, and maintaining an association and authentication state between the STA and the coordinated AP group based on the PMK. The method may further include generating one or more temporal keys between the STA and the coordinator based on the PMK. Abstract: An operation method of a transmitting device such as an access point providing wireless communication includes receiving a feedback of channel response information from an external communication device, generating a beam steering matrix based on the channel response information, generating a power allocation matrix based on an average SNR for each of a plurality of streams included in the channel response information, and performing beamforming on the external communication device based on the generated power allocation matrix and the generated beam steering matrix. The channel response information is a compressed beamforming feedback of multiple input multiple output single user beamforming. A first power allocated to a first stream, of which an average SNR is a first value, from among the plurality of streams is larger than a second power allocated to a second stream, of which an average SNR is a second value greater than the first value.

Abstract: A method and device are provided for dynamic access point (AP) selection by a coordinator in a coordinated AP group. The coordinator of the coordinated AP group receives one or more link quality metrics for each link between a station (STA) and each of a plurality of member APs in the coordinated AP group, from the plurality of member APs. The coordinator selects an anchor AP for the STA from the plurality of member APs based on the one or more link quality metrics for each link. The anchor AP is used to relay transmissions between the STA and the coordinator. Authentication of the STA with the anchor AP is shared with all APs in the coordinated AP group, allowing the STA to utilize any subsequently selected anchor AP to relay transmissions without re-authentication.

It is determined whether a second condition is satisfied on the basis of the provided information, and a type of decomposition from a plurality of decomposition types for precoding is selected if the second condition is satisfied. A precoder is generated on the basis of the selected result.
