    摘要: A connector housing (10) has cavities (23) and a retainer insertion hole (27) that crosses the cavities (23). A retainer (30) can be held at a partial or full locking position in the retainer insertion hole (27). The retainer (30) has pairs of resilient locks (33) and fixed locks (35) for the corresponding cavities (23). The resilient locks (33) project into the cavities (23) when the retainer (30) is at the partial locking position while the fixed locks (35) project into the cavities,(23) when the retainer (30) is at the full locking position. The resilient locks (33) are wider than the cavities (23) and hence continue engaging the terminal fittings (10) while the retainer (30) is moved from the partial locking position to the full locking position. Thus, the terminal fittings (10) are locked doubly by the fixed locks (33) and parts of the resilient locks (33) when the retainer (30) is at the full locking position.

The slanted surfaces (28, 30) are arranged at positions near opposing ends of the connecting surface, and have gradients to increase projecting amounts thereof as they extend in from the ends of the connecting surface.

    摘要: The invention provides means for preventing arms of a lever from moving outwards and changing shape, without having to increase the size of a connector. Thin members 55 of arms 52 make contact with thick members 62 of protecting walls 60, thereby preventing the arms 52 from moving outwards. Since the portions of the protecting walls 60 that make contact with the arms 52 are thick, they do not change shape due to their receiving a pushing force from the arms 52. The arms 52 are thus reliably prevented from changing shape. Further, the thick members 62 are located so as to correspond to the thin members 55 of the arms 52. Consequently, the portions where the thick members 62 and the thin members 55 overlap do not become overly thick, and the connector does not increase in size.

A tab (12) extends forward from the box (11) and a crimping portion (14) is behind the box (11) for connection to a wire (30). The rear end of the supporting plate (17) defines a locking portion (18) to engage a locking lance (49). Only one restricting plate (22) extends from an extending end edge of a supporting plate (17) toward the base plate (15) substantially parallel to the side plates (16). A rear end (22R) of the restricting plate (22) is in the box (11) forward of the locking portion (18).

The interference prevention portion (20) is capable of preventing another member from interfering with the retainer (40) when the retainer (40) is at a temporary locking position. Therefore, the interference prevention portion (20) prevents the other member from pressing the retainer (40) into the main locking position. The interference prevention portion (20) is disposed rearward from the retainer (40) at the rear end of the housing (10). Therefore the interference prevention portion (20) does not interfere with an operation for fitting the housing (10) in a mating housing.
