    Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a wire end connector, a board end connector, and an operating element. The board end connector includes a base and an extending tube body, which laterally forms a protrusion. The wire end connector includes a body and a wire connecting portion. The body has a shell that forms a guide groove and a side hole. The operating element has a pivot portion, a first extending arm, and a second extending arm. When the board end connector and the wire end connector are in an initial state and the operating element is in an unlocked position, the second extending arm is away from the guide groove. When the board end connector and the wire end connector are switched to a mating state, the protrusion contacts the first extending arm, causing the operating element to rotate from the unlocked position to a locked position.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a connector body, a plurality of terminals arranged within the connector body, and a rotatable terminal lock. The plurality of terminals each include an elastic terminal latch fixing the terminal in an installed position within the connector body. The terminal lock is rotatably connected to the connector body between an unlocked position and a locked position. In the unlocked position a first portion of the terminal lock biases each of the terminal latches into a release state whereby the terminals may be removed from connector body in a removal direction. In the locked position a second portion of the terminal lock opposes each of the terminals in the removal direction.

    Abstract: A lock arm holds a connector and a counterpart connector in a fitted state. The lock arm extends from a main body part in the manner of a cantilever. The lock arm comes into contact with the counterpart connector and elastically deforms downward in the course of fitting. The lock arm has, on a lower surface, a reference surface that is disposed so as to extend from a base end side toward a free end side and a concave surface that is located above the reference surface via a step part on the free end side in a state where the lock arm is not elastically deformed. The main body part has an interference part that comes into contact with an end portion on the free end side including the concave surface displaced downward.

    Abstract: An adaptor for electric vehicle charging connectors allows an EV to be shifted from park even though the charging connector is still connected to the charging port. As a result, a driver needs not leave the EV to unplug the charging connector. The adapter can include an inner portion housing inner charging pin portions and inner communication pin portions and an outer portion housing outer charging pin portions and outer communication pin portions. The adapter can also include a switching mechanism for selectively forming a connection between one of the outer communication pin portions and one of the inner communication pin portions. The outer charging pin portions and outer communication pin portions can be configured to separate from the inner charging pin portions and inner communication pin portions respectively when the outer portion of the adapter is separated from the inner portion of the adapter.
