    摘要: A transmission includes input and output shafts, a hybrid module coupled to the input shaft and a gearbox coupled to the module and output shaft. The hybrid module includes an electric motor under driven by a gearset; a disconnect clutch coupled to the gearset and selectively to the input shaft; a launch clutch coupled to the disconnect clutch and selectively to a module output; and a vibration absorber coupled with the launch clutch. The gearbox includes three gearsets and five torque transmitting devices operable to generate six forward speeds and reverse. One torque transmitting device is a clutch brake applied with a piston that reaches over a park gear, and another one is a selectable one way clutch. Two of the torque transmitting devices are rotating clutches that are radially stacked. The transmission includes an electric only mode, a hybrid mode and a battery charging mode.

    摘要: A transmission is provided having a dual clutch, to achieve torque flow through a countershaft gearing arrangement. The countershaft gearing arrangement includes a plurality of co-planar gear sets having gears that are selectively connectable to a first and second countershaft. A transfer gear set transfers torque from the countershaft to an output shaft. The output shaft is connected to a final drive unit that has a final drive unit output shaft that is transverse to an input member connected at one end to a torque converter and at the other end to the dual clutch.

    摘要: The present invention provides an electrically variable transmission having two motor/generators, two differential gear sets such as planetary gear sets, and five torque transfer devices arranged to provide improved launch, performance and gradeability, and enabling five fixed speed ratios. An input member is continuously connected to one member (preferably a ring gear) of the first planetary gear set, and an output member is continuously connected to one member (preferably a carrier) of the second planetary gear set. One motor/generator is continuously connected to another member (preferably a sun gear) in the first planetary gear set as well as being selectively connected to a member (preferably a ring gear) of the second planetary gear set. The second motor/generator is continuously connected to the remaining member (preferably a sun gear) of the second planetary gear set, and is selectively connected to the remaining member (preferably a carrier) of the first planetary gear set.

    摘要: A differential lubrication system includes structure forming a torque converter feed passage in fluid communication with a fluid source and in which fluid is selectively supplied to a torque converter. Structure forming a branch passage for lubricating a differential mechanism extends from the torque converter feed passage to divert fluid to the differential mechanism prior to the fluid being supplied to the torque converter. Two flow restrictions and a valve mechanism may be employed to control lubrication of the differential mechanism. One of the flow restrictions may form a nozzle so that fluid is sprayed onto the differential mechanism. A method of lubricating the differential mechanism is also provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides an electrically variable transmission having two planetary gear sets, two motor/generators, and six torque transfer devices to provide input split, compound split, output split, neutral, electric reverse and mechanical reverse modes of operation. The electrically variable transmission includes: an input member to receive power from an engine; an output member; first and second motor/generators; and first and second differentially geared planetary gear sets each having first, second and third gear members. The input member is not continuously connected with any member of the planetary gear sets, and the output member is continuously connected to the first member of the second planetary gear set. The first and second motor/generators are each continuously connected to at least one member of the planetary gear sets. The first member of the first planetary gear set is continuously connected with the third member of the second planetary gear set. The six torque transfer devices are selectively engageable to provide the various operating modes of the electrically variable transmission.
