摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a first processing unit and a second processing unit. The first processing unit receives multi-valued first compressed image data in accordance with a first compression format that is a variable length compression format. The first compressed image data are externally transferred to the first processing unit. The first processing unit then converts the first compressed image data into second compressed image data in accordance with a second compression format. The second processing unit performs expansion and binarization processes on the second compressed image data, and outputs the second compressed image data to a printer engine.

摘要: A zoom lens includes first to fifth lens units arranged in sequence from an object side to an image side, and having positive, negative, positive, negative, and positive refractive powers in that order. The zoom lens performs zooming by moving the first to fifth lens units. The fourth lens unit includes a negative lens, which is moved in such a manner as to have a component in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis so as to shift an image formed with an entire system in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis. The zoom lens satisfies the condition, 0.50

摘要: A method for the production of acrylic acid comprises (i) a step for introducing a polymerization inhibitor to a stage other than a stage for supplying a raw material and a stage for supplying a reflux of said distilling column or (ii) a step for supplying the acrylic acid recovered by thermally decomposing said oligomer to said stage for dehydration. Thus, the present invention enjoys effective utilization of acrylic acid and exalts the efficiency of production.

摘要: A display device for displaying information is provided with an optical system for guiding the light of the display device to the eye, the optical system having, in the order in the proceeding direction of the light, an entrance face for receiving the light, a curved face for totally reflecting the light and a reflecting face concave to the eye side and adapted to reflect the light toward the eye. The reflected light is transmitted by the curved face and reaches the eye. Thus there is obtained a compact display device with satisfactorily suppressed aberrations.

摘要: At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to a zoom lens which includes first to fourth lens groups, each moving and having negative, positive, negative, and positive refractive power, arranged from an object to an image in that order. The second lens group includes a second A lens component composed of a single positive lens, and a second B lens component composed of a negative lens and a positive lens with positive refractive power as a whole, arranged from the object to the image in that order. The second A lens component displaces images in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis by having a component of it's displacement perpendicular to the optical axis, and the zoom lens satisfies the following condition: 0.2

摘要: A shell-and-tube type heat exchanger of the smallest possible length necessary for heat exchange is disclosed which is capable of obtaining uniform distribution of flow of a shell side fluid and substantially eliminating the structural restriction imposed on the shell side. This shell-and-tube type heat exchanger is provided with one annular conduit furnished with not less than two partitions concurrently serving as an expansion joint for introducing and discharging a shell side fluid and allowing the flow path for said shell side fluid to be separated into an introducing part and a discharging part and which comprises a place having no array of heat-transfer tubes in the flow path for said shell side fluid. It prevents the equipment from necessitating an unnecessary enlargement due to the structural restriction on the shell side and enables the shell side fluid to produce a uniform flow.
