摘要: A video input interface receives input video data in a normal state. A control input interface receives character data for On Screen Display (OSD) in a setup state. An encoder encodes the character data and stores encoded compressed data in a memory in the setup state. A decoder receives an instruction signal designating the character data to be displayed, reads, and decodes one piece of compressed data corresponding to the instruction signal from the memory, and reproduces the original character data in the normal state. A multiplexer superimposes character data on frame data and outputs the data.

摘要: A method of video encoding includes determining whether a plurality of constraint flags of a constraint information group are to be signaled for a subset of coding blocks, and signaling a gate flag indicating whether the plurality of constraint flags of the constraint information group are signaled. The gate flag is signaled in constraint information in a syntax structure of a coded video bitstream. In accordance with the signaled gate flag indicating that the plurality of constraint flags of the constraint information group are signaled, the method further includes signaling the plurality of constraint flags of the constraint information group in the constraint information in the syntax structure of the coded video bitstream. In accordance with the plurality of constraint flags being signaled in the constraint information, the method further includes encoding the subset of coding blocks based on the plurality of constraint flags.

摘要: An encoder (300) configured to receive an input video (302) comprising respective frames, each frame being divided into a plurality of tiles and each tile being divided into a plurality of blocks. The encoder is configured to generate a base encoded stream (310) using abase encoder (306), determine (334) a temporal mode for one or more further encoded enhancement streams (328) generated using an enhancement encoder and generate the one or more further encoded enhancement streams (328) according to the determined temporal mode. The temporal mode is either a first temporal mode that does not apply non-zero values from a temporal buffer or a second temporal mode that does apply non-zero values from the temporal buffer (332). Generating the one or more further encoded enhancement streams comprises applying a transform (348) to each of a series of blocks. The temporal mode is determined for one or more of a frame, tile or block.

摘要: Systems and methods are configured to generate a frequency map representing a density of objects found in regions of a sample that may be used in setting parameters for imaging the regions. Various embodiments involve binarizing the pixels for a raw image of the sample to transform the image into binary data. Run-length encoded components are identified from the data for dimensions of the raw image. Each component is a length of a sequence of adjacent pixels found in a dimension with the same value in the binary data. A projection of the image is then generated from projection values for the dimensions. Each projection value provides a measure of the density of objects present in a dimension with respect to the components identified for the dimension. This projection is used to identify a level of density for each region of the sample from which the frequency map is generated.

摘要: The present invention is a variable length coding method for coding coefficients in each block which are obtained by performing frequency transformation on picture data of a moving picture per block having a predetermined size, and comprises: a coefficient scanning step of scanning the coefficients in the block in a predetermined order; and a coding step of coding the coefficients scanned in the coefficient scanning step into variable length codes in a predetermined order by switching a plurality of tables to be used for coding. Here, a direction of switching between the tables may be one-directional. Also, the coding may be non-arithmetic coding.

摘要: Image compression methods for near-eye display systems that reduce the input bandwidth and the system processing resource are disclosed. High order basis modulation, dynamic gamut, light field depth sampling and image data word-length truncation and quantization aiming at matching the human visual system angular, color and depth acuity coupled with use of compressed input display enable a high fidelity visual experience in near-eye display systems suited for mobile applications at a substantially reduced input interface bandwidths and processing resources.

摘要: A method and apparatus of video coding using palette coding mode including run modes are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system determines a maximum palette run for a current pixel being coded based on coding information including block size of the current block, pixel location of the current pixel, and whether a last run type for the current block is the copy-index mode or the copy-above mode. The current run associated with the current pixel is then encoded into one or more binary strings or decoded from the bitstream according to the maximum palette run. A syntax element to indicate the last run type for the current block can be signaled or parsed from the bitstream.

摘要: In an example, a method of coding video data includes determining, by a video coder and for a block of video data, a palette having a plurality of entries indicating a plurality of respective color values, wherein a first line of the block of video data includes a pixel located adjacent to an edge of the block of video data, and wherein a second line of the block of video data includes a pixel located adjacent to the edge of the block and adjacent to the pixel of the first line. In this example, the method also includes coding, in a scan order, index values that map pixels of the block to entries in the palette, wherein the pixel of the second line immediately follows the pixel of the first line in the scan order.
