摘要: A heating device comprises a circulation chamber with inlet and outlet openings for a heat carrier, a heating assembly connected to the circulation chamber in a heat-conducting manner for heating the heat carrier in the circulation chamber, a connection chamber with a control unit arranged therein and comprising a printed circuit board for controlling the PTC heating assembly, a partition wall between the circulation chamber and the connection chamber, and a hold-down device arranged on the side of the control unit facing away from the partition wall which interacts with the control unit. For an improved protection of the electrical heating device the hold-down device incorporates measures for collecting moisture, which are configured such that condensed moisture is kept away from the control unit, at least in certain areas.

摘要: A method for the production of a heat-generating element includes placing in which at least two electrical conductor elements, provided with through holes, onto a film provided with an adhesive mass, pressing the conductor elements against the films such that the mass is forced into the through holes. At least one PTC element is subsequently placed onto one of the conductor elements, and then the other of the conductor elements, together with the film adhering thereto, is placed opposite to the one of the conductor elements onto the PTC element. The invention further relates to a heat-generating element with a PTC element and electrical conductor elements connected thereto in an electrically conductive manner for energizing the PTC element with a different polarity and an electrical insulation that is provided on the outer side thereof with a film and an adhesive mass applied thereto. At least one of the conductor elements is provided with through holes and the mass is at least in part contained in the plane of the conductor element.

摘要: A PTC heating element has a casing that joins as a unit at least one PTC element, conductor paths electrically connected to the PTC element, and insulating layers bearing, in a heat-conductive manner against the PTC element. The PTC heating element also has contact strips which project over itself and which are electrically conductively connected to the conductor paths for energizing the PTC element with different polarities. The casing forms a receptacle space that receives the PTC element, the conductor paths, and the insulating layers. In order to improve heat decoupling from the PTC element, the receptacle, in a cross-sectional view, is defined by two oppositely disposed inner surfaces covering the PTC element and concave cavities, adjoining the inner surfaces and forming the longitudinal edges of the casing, the diameter of which is greater than the distance between the inner surfaces. The electric heating device has at least one PTC heating element arranged in a circulation chamber. Also disclosed is a method in which the casing is first formed, the PTC element, the conductor paths and the insulating layers are then introduced through an opening of the casing into the receptacle space, and the casing then is deformed by deforming forces acting upon edge regions of the casing, so that oppositely disposed inner surfaces of the casing are abutted against the insulating layers.

摘要: A PTC heating device has contact surfaces formed by a metallization, and also has first and second contact elements which are to be assigned different polarity and which are electrically contacted with the contact surfaces. Both of the first and second contact surfaces are circumferentially sealed by a frame that follows the contour of the respective contact surface and that is made of an electrically non-conductive adhesive coating. In the method of making the PTC heating device, the contact surfaces of the PTC element are contacted in an electrically conductive manner with the two contact elements, each of which has a strand an electrically non-conductive adhesive coating following the contour of the contact surfaces. During this contacting, the adhesive coating is displaced in such a manner that both contact surfaces are circumferentially sealed by a frame formed by the adhesive coating.

摘要: An electric heating assembly of an electric heating device includes a metal housing which forms a pocket in which at least one PTC element, contact sheets abutting surfaces of the PTC element and insulating layers which are arranged between the contact sheets and inner surfaces of the pocket. The contact sheets each have contact projections which project in the direction of one of the contact surfaces of the PTC element and are surrounded by an adhesive which connects the contact sheet to the PTC element. In order to improve heat extraction from the electrical contact of the PTC element, front end regions of the contact projections abutting against the PTC element are plastically deformed against the surface of the PTC element. Also disclosed is a method of making a heating device.

摘要: A heat-generating element for an electric heating device includes a heating element casing which comprises a casing element formed from a ceramic material and a casing mating element formed from a ceramic material. The two casing elements bear against each other in a sealing manner and enclose, in a sealing manner between each other, a PTC element and conductor tracks. The conductor tracks bear, in an electrically conductive manner, against the PTC element and are assigned different polarities for energizing the PTC element. The heating element casing carries contact strips connected in an electrically conductive manner to the associated conductor tracks. At least one of the conductor tracks is formed by an electrically conductive element which is provided with through holes and which, in a height direction of the conductor track, comprises discrete points of support that bear against the PTC element and one of casing element and casing mating element. The present invention further relates to an electric heating device with at least one heater casing with a heat-generating element of the type described here that is arranged in a circulation chamber with a heating element casing joining at least one PTC element and contact strips energizing the PTC element as a structural unit. The heat generating element has the contact strips electrically connected to the PTC element projecting over itself. A partition wall separates the circulation chamber from a connection chamber of the heater casing. The contact strips of the PTC heating element protrude through the partition wall and are exposed and electrically connected.

摘要: An electrical load resistance includes a housing having at least one U-shaped receiving pocket, in which at least one PTC heating element is accommodated. The PTC heating element includes at least one PTC element and at least one contact plate electrically conductively connected to the PTC element for energizing the PTC element. The contact plate has a terminal lug for plug contacting the PTC element, and the PTC heating element abuts at least on opposite main side surfaces of the receiving pocket in a heat-conducting manner and projects beyond the terminal lug of the receiving pocket. The housing of the electrical load resistance is closed, and thus has no inlet or outlet openings for a medium to be heated. Also provided is a device with an electrical load resistance for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine, a method for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine, and a use of a PTC heating device as an electrical load resistance for reducing the starting time of an internal combustion engine.
