摘要： Disclosed herein is an anti-skid boot, having a crampon, provided with both an outer sole and a boot body. The anti-skid boot includes a crampon which is provided around an outer surface of a front part of the outer sole. The crampon includes a plurality of triangular protrusions, a plurality of oblique slots and a locking notch. The anti-skid boot further includes a plate spring which is provided between the crampon and the outer sole. The anti-skid boot further includes a plurality of support pins which is fastened to the outer surface of the outer sole after passing through the plurality of oblique slots, and a locking hook which is rotatably coupled to a predetermined position of the outer surface of the outer sole adjacent to each of the opposite ends of the crampon. In the present invention, the crampon is normally located around the outer sole of the anti-skid boot to allow a user to walk on level ground, and the crampon is protruded downwards from the outer sole by only a simple manipulation at need. Therefore, the present invention makes it easy for the user to climb a mountain in the winter regardless of the type of ground, for example, level ground or an icy route. Furthermore, it is unnecessary to put on and take off separate crampons or to keep them separately.

摘要： An antislip apparatus is provided for footwear to be fit on a region of a sole and/or a heel of a shoe defining an engagement surface in contact with the ground surface. The antislip apparatus includes a ground gripping structure for engaging the ground surface including a support and crampon-like prongs disposed on the support extending perpendicularly from the support. A cam arrangement interacts with the support for moving the prongs to one of a grip position with the prongs extending beyond the level of the engagement surface, or to a rest position with the prongs disposed inwardly of the engagement surface. The cam arrangement includes a plate disposed substantially parallel to the support and cams acting on one of the support and the plate to vary a distance between the support and the plate to move the prongs. An operating arrangement or actuator is provided for operating the cam arrangement. The actuator includes a cylindrical rotor formed integral with the plate. The rotor is disposed perpendicularly to the support and has at a lower end thereof, accessible from a side of the engagement surface, a seat defined by a groove or cut. A holding box element contains the support, the cam arrangement and the actuator. The holding box element is provided one of below or on the engagement surface. The holding box element includes an opening allowing access to the actuator and has one or more slots which the prongs extend through in the grip position.

The pair of plates each have a pair of springs extending downwardly therefrom which bias the plate upward. A deployment mechanism provides an extended orientation whereby the pair of plates extend downwardly against the biasing of the springs with the spikes extending through the apertures.

The slide member is translatable in a lengthwise direction between a first position wherein the recesses are aligned with the spikes so that the spikes assume their retracted position and a second position wherein the recesses are not aligned with the spikes so that the spikes assume their extended position.

摘要： A stud for a tire to improve traction on a roadway which includes a hardened pin mounted in a steel jacket and extending therefrom to engage the roadway, wherein the stud is sized for insertion into openings in the tire tread. The pin is retractable into the jacket thereby removing the pin from contact with the road surface and providing non-studded as well as studded service from the same tire. A spring in the stud jacket is used to propel the pin out of the jacket into the extended position when the pin is released from the securing mechanism. The securing mechanism consists of a series of projections on the pin in interaction with a series of grooves in the interior of the stud jacket. The pin is released from the retracted position by manually pressing the pin further into the jacket until the securing mechanism releases it. The spring also acts to ensure that the pin protrudes the proper distance, when in contact with the roadway, from the surface of the tire by providing less force than necessary to keep the pin extended when the pin is extended more than the proper distance and more force than necessary when the pin is extended less than the proper distance. This self adjusting feature of the spring may be necessary to keep the optimum pin extension due to the differences in the wear rate of the pin and the tire tread due to the pin being retracted for prolonged periods of time. The pin is retracted into the jacket manually by pressing the pin back into the jacket until the securing mechanism locks into place.
