A method for producing hot pour product samplers that incorporates the genuine hot pour product through the use of bulk thin film application techniques such as extrusion or spray technology. The method comprises first applying a hot pour product to a base substrate, and then attaching a cover sheet by means of an adhesive or heat-seal die adhesive on either wide-web offset or narrow-web equipment.
Abstract:
A cosmetic product, particularly for the eye, is provided which includes a container, an absorbent pad with printing on at least one major surface, and a fluid cosmetic composition, the pad and composition being held within the container. The cosmetic composition is primarily water, especially amounts of water in excess of 90%. Most preferred as a substrate for the pad is a non-woven polyester. A cucumber slice design is the most preferred print on the pad. A method is also provided which reduces puffiness, soothes the eye and lessens dark circles around the eye. This method involves applying the aforementioned cosmetic composition via the pad onto the eye and its surrounding area.

A device (1) for making up, or for a care treatment, of the user's lips (L) includes a support (2) at least a portion of which can be impregnated by a pulverulent or liquid-to-pasty product (P). The support (2) has a flattened shape and has at least one application surface (4, 6) capable of coming into contact with at least one of the user's lips, the portion impregnated with the product being capable of elastic deformation by compression of the surfaces by the lips and of assuming their shape, so that a transfer of the product to the lips is effected during the compression of the support between the user's lips.

A sampler device for applying sample material having a supporting base with a hole through its width. A stretchy layer, such a latex, is affixed to the base to cover the hole. A cover protects sample material deposited on the stretchy layer. After removing the cover, a user inserts a finger through the hole, stretches the stretchy layer into an applicator shape, and applies or consumes the sample material.

The package may be produced using a support web, a web of double coated tape, a web of transfer tape, or a release liner and a self-adhesive laminate.

A cosmetic sampler with an integral applicator in which the unit dose of cosmetic is screen printed onto a paper base. To prevent off-set of the cosmetic sample and to protect the integral applicator during packaging and handling, a protective thin film overlay is laminated to a perimeter adhesive printed on the paper base around the cosmetic and the applicator. The applicator is glued as a laminate to the base and die cut in a desired shape, flocked to the base and die cut, or flocked into a debossed/embossed well formed in the base with the cosmetic sample screen printed directly thereover. The sampler with integral applicator of the present invention can be used for sampling unit doses of powders, creams, lipsticks, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, lotions, and sundries.

A cosmetic sampler formed by screen printing a slurry of cosmetic powder and solvent onto a paper base. To prevent off-set of the cosmetic sample during packaging and handling, a protective thin film overlay is laminated to a perimeter adhesive printed on the paper base around the cosmetic. The paper base may be replaced by a pressure sensitive adhesive stock to form a unit dose or single application of a cosmetic that can be applied as a label to any desired surface. In other embodiments, a non-pressure sensitive removable adhesive is used in a two-layer removable label construction or a three-layer coupon construction. The sampler can also be provided with or without the protective overlay in a simple folded hand-out version or as a pad of cosmetic sampler sheets. The sampler can also be used to provide unit doses or single applications of creams, lipsticks, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, lotions, and other high viscosity, waxy materials.
Abstract:
The advertising sampler provides a transfer layer material which is removable by finger tip and spreadable on the skin. The sampler includes a paper stock having printing thereon referring to the transfer layer sample. An oil-impervious barrier layer is located between the transfer layer and the paper stock to prevent bleed-through, and a removable protective covering sheet is positionable over the transfer layer to protect the transfer layer.

A cosmetic sampler comprising a base support, a coating of a cosmetic composition of predetermined thickness disposed upon the base support, a cover and a multiplicity of projections extending through the coating in a direction substantially transverse to the plane of the base support and cover and having a length greater than the thickness of the coating. The coating composition is transferable to a user upon lifting up of the cover in order to remove it.
