    摘要： A refillable therapeutic pack is disclosed that is comprised of an outer bag having a generally rectangular shape having two sides, a closed end and an open end. Tie straps are secured on the outer bag near the closed end and the open end and extend from the ends. An inner bag is provided internally within the outer bag. The inner bag has two sides, a closed end attached to the closed end of the outer bag and an open end. The open end of the inner bag is of a smaller diameter than the closed end of the inner bag such that the open end of the inner bag contains a neck section. Ice or cooling material may be filled into the inner bag of the cold pack through the neck section of the open end of the inner bag. The cold pack additionally includes flexible opening aids contained within the neck section of the open end to aid in opening and holding open the open end of the inner bag during filling and emptying. The cold pack additionally includes attachment wings to attach the side of the inner bag to the side of the outer bag to hold the inner bag in place. Further, the cold pack includes a sleeve for holding a clip or closure device when the clip or closure device is not in use. The clip or closure device is used to seal and close the inner bag after the inner bag is filled with cooling material.

    摘要： An apparatus, device, or inlet port plug, may close an inlet port that is formed in a sheet of flexible material. The inlet port is adapted for mounting on an inflatable device and is shaped and constructed to receive and retain an air hose nozzle through which air flows to inflate the inflatable device. The inlet port plug blocks the inlet port when no air hose nozzle is engaged. Consequently, air cannot easily pass out of the inflatable device through the inlet port when the device is inflated or being inflated. The inlet port plug has a generally planar shape with coplanar extensions extending radially from a plug body. The inlet port plug may be engaged with an inlet port by causing at least two of the extensions to be received in the inlet port. When the extensions are received, the plug is retained against the inlet port.

The resealable closure, or valve is permanently attached to the surface of one side of material by a specific manufacturing process and, can be opened or closed by pulling the cap from the valve thus allowing the pillow to be filled and or emptied of ice and liquid. The resealable closure or valve also has the ability to allow steam to be released while the liquid is being heated through the use of a microwave oven. The specific laminated fabric gives this pillow increased durability thus allowing the pillow to be filled with hot or cold liquids.

    摘要： The present invention is a method and apparatus for conveniently and removably sealing inlet ports within an inflatable thermal blanket. In accordance with the present invention a generally planar sheet of material having a plurality of resilient side extensions extending from a central body is used to close an inlet port within an inflatable thermal blanket. In accordance with the preferred invention, the generally circular portion of the central body has a diameter which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the inlet port. Preferably, for extensions extend from the central body each extension being generally circular. Each extension is preferably formed from the same material used to form the central body, and is sufficiently resilient to be easily flexed and to return to an essentially coplanar sheet when released. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention, one such extension is inserted into the inlet port, the central body and opposing extension are then bent to allow the opposing extension to be inserted into the inlet port. The result is two opposing extensions extending beyond the diameter of the inlet port at the interior of the port, and two opposing extensions extending beyond the diameter of the inlet port at the exterior of the port.

    摘要： A therapeutic wrap is disclosed herein for applying heat or cold compression to a body or limb area, which includes a single waterproof bladder, casing or envelope having coupling straps for securing the wrap to the body or limb. The bladder is provided with multiple compartments formed by heat-sealed buttons or spots in fixed spaced relationship defining a curved passageway compartmentalizing the bladder interior. A twist cap permits introduction of a heated, cooled or iced medium such as a solid or fluid into the passageway. The bladder or casing includes a fabric composed of a combination of nylon fabric coated with a vinyl thickness presenting an irregular outer surface and a smooth inner surface, and a display area is carried on the exterior surface thereof between adjacent straps. The straps are sewn to the cloth-like roughened surface and a sealing plastic strip covers the stitching for reinforcement and sealing purposes.
