In a further embodiment each device of the present invention includes a unique identifier or identification element, such as a machine readable bar code or RFID (radio frequency identification) tag to insure all devices utilized for a particular job are accounted for.

    摘要: A new and useful barrier device for a utility system cover is provided. The barrier device is designed to be coupled to a utility system cover (e.g. a water meter cover), in a way that effectively seals the opening in the cover against ingress of dirt, debris, animals, etc. Moreover, the barrier device also provides a structure that enables a hook like tool to engage and manipulate the coupled barrier device and cover, while maintaining the barrier against ingress of dirt, debris, animals, etc. The barrier device includes a hood with a border that at least partially flattens against a utility system cover as the baffler device is coupled to the utility system cover, so that the border of the hood and the utility system cover combine to form a baffler to materials and objects near the border of the hood. A stem extends from the hood, and is pressed into the utility system cover, in a way that effectively couples the baffler device with the cover. For covers that are too thick for the one piece cap structure, extender structure is provided, to extend the thickness of the cover(s) to which the barrier structure can be coupled.

    摘要: A developer replenishing device for replenishing a developing device with a developer, and a developer container for use therewith. The developer container, or toner bottle, includes a shoulder portion adjoining a first end of a hollow body. The body is formed with a spiral guide for guiding a developer stored in the developer container. The shoulder portion forms a wall and includes an engaging portion engageable with driver that causes the body to rotate. The engaging portion includes a lug protruding from the shoulder portion which allows a characteristic of toner to be identified. The engaging portion has an outside surface of a guide portion that guides a developer stored in the developer container. Two engaging portions may be angularly spaced from each other by 180 degrees. The developer container also includes a discharge mouth, which adjoins the first end of the body, which is smaller in diameter than the shoulder portion, and which includes an annular collar protruding outwardly, and a positioning portion positioned on a holder for the developer container. The positioning portion includes a lug protruding from an outside surface of the body. The holder for the developer container includes a hitting member which hits against the outside surface when the body is caused to rotate. A plurality of lugs are formed on an outside circumferential surface of the collar of the discharge mouth.

    摘要: Plug for sealing or capping the open ends of tubular members, such as tubular rails or railing support members in boats. The plug has a cap from which extend upper, lower, right side and left side rearwardly projecting and connected planar panels. Each of the upper and lower planar panels and one of the side planar panels includes an outwardly protruding array of ramped teeth formed integrally therewith. The other side planar panel lacks an array of ramped teeth. The height of the teeth in each array increases incrementally from a minimum height remote from the cap to a maximum height adjacent to the cap. The ramping of the teeth allows for accommodational frictional engagement with various inside dimensions of tubular rails or railing support members to secure the plug tightly therewithin. A tapered indexing guide bar is located at the junction of the upper planar panel and the side planar panel which lacks an array of ramped teeth. The indexing guide bar serves as an alignment member to facilitate insertion of the plug into the open end of a rail or railing support member and also aids in retaining the plug once it is inserted.

    摘要: A bung comprises a deformable member with a generally cylindrical middle portion generally coinciding with the bunghole when inserted, and upper and lower frusto-conical ends which increase in diameter as each end extends from the middle portion. The middle portion is preferably of a size less than the hole to facilitate insertion of bung into and removal from the bunghole. Where the hole is tapered, the middle portion is similarly tapered. The spool-like shape of the stopper helps to prevent unintentional disengagement of the bung from the hole and to prevent overinsertion of the bung into the hole. The bung may further comprise one or more pull tabs to facilitate removal. The bung may define a bore to allow gas pressure to escape from the container, thus acting as a stopper. A rigid annular insert at the opening of the throughbore prevents deformation of the circular shape of the opening.

    摘要: This invention relates to a bore plug and to a bore plugging method, usually but not necessarily for tubes, and has particular (but not exclusive) application for the isolation of defective heat exchanger tubes. The bore plug comprises a sealing member and a holding member, the sealing member being adapted to span the bore, the sealing member having a longitudinal axis and an axial opening to receive the holding member, the holding member being insertable into the opening solely by axial movement. The method includes the steps of {i} pushing the sealing member axially into the bore, and {ii} pushing a holding member axially into the opening so as to urge part of the sealing member into sealing engagement with an inner surface of the bore.
