摘要: The invention relates to the processing, in a closed mixer (1), of polymer-based mixtures and compounds for the manufacture of tyres or components thereof. To improve the dispersion of the ingredients in the polymer base, the pressing ram (8) is lowered to the working condition controlling the position thereof over time, in order to compress the ingredients within the mixing chamber (4). The invention is particularly suitable for the dispersion of reinforcing fillers such as silica or carbon black in the polymer base and the incorporation of said fillers in the latter.

摘要: A method for the production of rubber mixtures in a ram kneader or in an aggregate combination of a ram kneader and a preferably thereunder disposed ram-less kneader includes applying a fluid in a surface covering application onto the mixture which has been handled in the ram kneader at the same time as during the mixing process at which there occurs at least one of an enlargement of its working volume, during the discharge process in which the mixture is discharged from the ram kneader, and during a time at which the mixture is in the ram-less kneader, the boiling point of the fluid being less than the desired end temperature of the mixture and the fluid being evaporated during the course of further working of the mixture in a manner in which no fluid remnants remain.

摘要: An apparatus in which a glass rod is inserted into a spinning oven to perform spinning and glass fiber yarn is drawn out at a shutter located in the lower end of the spinning oven, comprising a timer for measuring a time from the start of heating of the glass rod inserted into the spinning oven until the fall of glass drops formed by the heating of the glass rod and a detector below the shutter for detecting the fall of the glass drops, for the purpose of automatically opening the shutter when a preset time of the timer is over and automatically closing the shutter by detection by the detector, thereby dispensing with a worker's monitoring of the spinning oven for opening and closing the shutter and preventing a danger of giving damage to the shutter and the spinning oven in the event of delayed shutter opening-closing timing.

摘要: A batch mixer includes a mixing chamber in which polymeric material such as plastics and rubber is heated and mixed. The material is fed to the mixing chamber through a hopper. The hopper has a door which is swung open and closed by a fluid-actuated cylinder. A locking mechanism is provided to enable the door to be swung only slightly open by excessive pressure build-ups in order to vent the pressure without permitting an appreciable amount of molten material to escape through the door.

摘要: Described herein is an internal mixer of the type including a mixing chamber rotatably accommodating mixing rotors therein, a hopper frame erected on the mixing chamber, a charge hopper provided on one lateral side of the hopper frame for charging a mixing material therethrough, and a floating weight provided in the hopper frame for upward and downward movements therein, the floating weight being held in an upper lifted position when charging a mixing material into the mixing chamber and then lowered into a pressing position in a mixing stage to apply pressure on the charged material in the mixing chamber, wherein the floating weight is dimensioned to have an axial length sufficient for closing an inlet opening formed in the side wall of the hopper frame in communication with the charge hopper, when in the lower pressing position, and lift means for lifting the floating weight up and down in the hopper frame is provided separately from a pressing means with a function of pressing the floating weight resiliently against the mixing material, the lift means being constituted by a hydraulic cylinder formed internally of the floating weight.

摘要: Internal mixer with hydraulic cylinders (31 to 34) that are symmetrically disposed about the charging hopper (2). The floating weight (20) is driven via a movable crosspiece (22) and a shaft (21) for the floating weight. A low overall construction of the internal mixer is achieved. In the mixing operation position of the floating weight (20), the upper piston chambers (41) communicate with a first pressure reservoir (64), and the lower piston chambers (42) communicate with a second pressure reservoir (78), so that the hydraulic actuating mechanism (30) effects a resilient retention of the pistons (40) and hence of the floating weight (20), which therefore can retreat resiliently in the mixing operation position relative to the material that is to be mixed.
