摘要： The present invention relates to a hand-operated device for lifting and moving pallets. The device comprises a framework including a first and a second fork (1, 2) projecting forwardly from the framework, each fork having a top surface (6) adapted to be in contact with the pallet, a handle (7) connected to the framework for applying manual force to the framework, support members (8a-d) connected to the framework for supporting the framework from the ground, and a first leg (3) having an upper end operatively connected to the handle and a lower end connected to the first fork to form a first frame element (10), and a second leg (4) having an upper end operatively connected to the handle and a lower end connected to the second fork to form a second frame element (12). Each of the first and second frame elements is arranged pivotable about an axis in parallel with the longitudinal axis (L1, L2) of the respective fork such that the framework is allowed to pivot between a first position for transporting the pallet and a second position for positioning the forks under the pallet, and the forks and support members are designed such that the vertical distance (h1, h2) between the highest point of the top surface of the forks and the lowest point of the corresponding support members is shorter in the second position than in the first position, and by that the fork and the support member of each frame element form a lever for lifting and lowering the pallet.

The attachment may include a telescopically adjustable connector between the load-carrying surfaces to provide them with additional stability. The attachment includes several features designed to facilitate proper positioning and stable transport such as lead in edges, pallet backstops, raised lateral edges of the load-carrying surface or pallet positioners.

摘要： A wafer transport cart comprises a wheeled support structure and an upright member which is pivotably coupled to the support structure. The upright member has a handle which is pivotably coupled to a wafer cassette support, which comprises a pair of fork-like arms. Wafer production personnel can maneuver the cart adjacent a wafer manufacturing load port, and unload a wafer cassette from the cart to the load port or vice versa, by employing movements of the upright member and the handle. Shock-absorbing dampers are provided for the upright member and the handle. An inter-cart coupling mechanism enables a plurality of carts to be joined together for tandem transport within the manufacturing facility. The arms mate with mating regions on the wafer cassette and on the load port. An alignment notch mates with an alignment pin on the load port. Also described are methods of using the wafer transport cart to load and unload a wafer cassette.

摘要： A transport device, or hand truck (10), having a load carrying surface (26) that is mounted to move up and down along the hand truck (10). The level of the load carrying surface (26) is changed by the amount of air within a pneumatic cylinder (40). The amount of air in the pneumatic cylinder (40) is determined by a pneumatic adjustment subsystem (42) and the load on the load carrying surface (26). Preferably, the pneumatic adjustment subsystem (42) is set so that the top item located on the load carrying surface (26) is always at waist level. The pneumatic adjustment system (42) permits the pneumatic cylinder (40) to be offset an incremental amount respective to items of identical weight and height being removed from or placed upon the load carrying surface (26). Thus, as items are removed from the load carrying surface (26), the load carrying surface indexes upward so that the top item is readily available at waist level.
